1) your reviews of multiplat are based on one of the 3 most of the time.

2) You review almost only HD console games (see full table in next post)

3) You review more PSN/XBL games than the 2 leading consoles of the gen (Wii/DS)

(took first to 30 as this is what 1 page of gamrreview shows).

That's just because they had more people apply for the HD systems review positions than the Wii/DS's. If you want you can always do some and send them in. Who knows, you might get a promotion! 

Well the team is pretty small and their work is volunteer work, well most of the writers at least.

That's what happens when you don't have hired writers.

If you don't think we review enough games for your console, please do sign up to review for that console. I guarantee, we have no deep ingrained bias against the Wii and DS, just not very many people writing reviews for them.

I'll agree with that, and not just because they write more reviews than the rest of us combined. They do most of the behind-the-scenes work as well.

Though to be fair (and cynical), they are paid for it.

Well if you take a look at the Most Wanted articles, wii users only vote for a smaller selection of different game (15 or so) as opposed to the PS3 (30 or so).

I don't own a wii so others might know better than me, but wii seems to have fewer worthwile games.

I suppose XBLA and PSN are also better developen platforms than WiiWare. (did you count DLC as PSN titles?)

As for DS (and PSP?) those certainly have very few interesting games imo.

Could we argue that the people looking at sites for game reviews are less likely to be playing Wii and DS games? Besides, not trying to offend, but both platforms are seeing far less worthwhile game releases than the X360 or the PS3.

And when we do have someone reviewing a DS game they give Dragon Quest IX a 7.7.

While we try our best to recruit to shore up holes in platform specific reviewers we can't know how active a reviewer is going to be until they're on the job.  It just so happens that our most active reviewers are HD console focused.  For reference here's our top ten:

Since we review on a voluntary basis the only reviews we try to force on people are review copies we get (not a lot from Ninty platforms on this end) and the biggest  1 or 2 games of each month (again, this is mostly HD games).  

I agree that not having enough Wii/DS reviews is an issue, but I think we cover the biggest and most important of them so I don't see it as a big issue unless you want our review archive to have the same platform ratios as the sales userbases of those platforms which I find as an unreasonable expectation.

I would prefer if we had the time/money to buy and play through every version of a multiplat, but usually we don't so we can either have our review out in a reasonable time frame or play/review every platform version of a game separately.  We chose the first option.
