Because Europe hates Microsoft with passion. Isn't the European Union still suing Microsoft for having a "monopoly"? Dang, its not Microsoft's fault that they made a OS that is easy to handle unlike Apple's or Linux

Kinda off topic, but I sort of wish the world could sue Europe for 400 years of genocide, conquest and wars.

Agreed.

Agreed.

Because Europe hates America and the Xbox is american

@ passenger

Its just that the ps3 has passed the 360's lifetime sales in Germany, Spain, and Italy.

Ps3 has had 9 months. 360 has been out over 2 years.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Ps3 will soon pass the X360 lifetime in OTHERS. This means it will have 2 regions against the XBOX 360.

I think so too.  But when?  Anyone gotta guess?

The "issue" the X360 has is that it's doing quite well versus the Xbox, and will actually wind up the 4th most popular console in Other territories in history (next to the PS1-3, and Wii). But when you compare it to what the Wii/PS3 are doing, and the fact that the X360 is failing to totally stomp the sales patterns of the Xbox. The Xbox sold ~8m units in the "others". The X360 is already at 5m in 2 years. So it's done about 65% of the Xbox's LTD in 50% of the time.

It would actually be the seventh most popular behind the PSP, GBC, and GBA.

Consoles owned: Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PSP, DS, PS3

thanks for showing us , that if you have absolutely no clue on the situation you like to make up something ,that fits your own ideology

and .. you never worked with an apple , right ?

acftually I find Leapord to be 1000 times easier then Vista. And Ubuntu is 1000 times easiler then OSX Leapord. Not all linux distros are easy by there are user friendly ones. And yes I prefer XP over Vista and Leapord, just not Ubuntu, or Fedora Core

1. It's expensive and it isn't a Playstation. Only Sony can afford to screw up as much as they have and still have fans.

2. It's heavily focused on FPS and online. Europe doesn't hate those things like Japan, but doesn't like them as much as the US either.

3. It's from the US, and everything from that side of the Atlantic has a bad reputation due to a bunch of reasons like how they elected a monkey for a president, his enthusiasm to occupy random developing countries, and how there is actually debate on wether evolution and climate change exist. Disagree with me as much as you like, but this is how a lot of people perceive things.

The last reason probably gets too much attention, but it's definitely there.

# 3. Thank you ever so much for openly insulting Americans in general. It really contributed a great deal to the thread. Perhaps you could learn to be a little more tactful, such as stating "many Europeans disagree strongly on a political level with the American government" instead of venting your spleen about how stupid we were for electing a "monkey".

I'd like to say most people here only disagree with you guys in politics, but it's no secret that such sentiment spills over into general dislike. Sorta like the negative version of the halo effect.

My intention was to portray what the general opinion towards the US is, not give my own. I share some parts of it, but they're not important in this discussion. I guess I could've made it more obvious, since everyone reads everything as an insult on the internet. =/
