Melissa said:

... so now that I've found Jesus, what sould I do with him? Is there a lost and found he belongs in? Anybody need 'im? I don't mind keeping him around, he's nice and all, but I'm not sure I can afford to keep feeding him.

Any suggestions?

It was kinda lame to actually devote a thread to this. I knew the second I saw the title that it was going to be something like that. I was even already to go with a where's waldo reference, like; "Yeah, but did you find his hat, glasses and cane?" but I guess that would just be like beating a dead horse.

Oh well, it was a little amusing, but your setup was too obvious and the punchline took too long. It would have been better to go with something with a little bit faster impact like; "I found jesus!"

"turns out he had been in his room the whole time..."

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods

Really if you can't take jokes about your religion then you obviously haven't watched tv in a while.

In the modern age there isn't anything safe from satire and as long as it isn't actually insulting the religion I don't see what your problem is, the only mildly offensive post in this topic was by Melbye.

PS: Watch 'The Life of Brian'

I disagree. I can understand that satire is no longer beyond the realms of most subjects, but it seems fashionable nowa days to bash Christianity for (supposed) amusement.  Had this topic been about another religious figure, you can be sure there would've been a greater negative reaction - and possibly a ban.

To the OP:  What do you get out of mocking a relegion and it's people during this festive time of year? Surely there are better ways to have a laugh.

 If this topic had been about another religious figure it would have made no sense as people don't talk about 'finding buddha' as far as I know.

In any case other religious figures (probably most prominantly buddha now that I think about it) are often satired. Its the beauty of living in a civilization that allows free speech.

Damn that shit's whack.

But seriously finding Jesus physically and metaphorically is impossible haha jk.

(readies for flaming but when it comes to religion whatever)

 It's pretty simple but I'll let Wordsworth explain it.

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.

-William Wordsworth, 1802.

This is a lame thread, it's not funny at all and is really just offensive. Everyone that's making lame jokes in this thread about Jesus should be really thankful that He's an understanding and forgiving God.

 I agree Ray.  and I don't know if Rath is capable of understanding your point after seeing his reaction.  Sometimes people who don't believe are far more closed minded than the most devout religious figures.
