Forums - Microsoft - Kinect is the only way to play MJ Experience.

Good to see that they put some effort into this version. Kinect seems to be the device for Dancing games, but the Wii is the dancing console. Despite how better the Kinect versions are they will never sell the same way the Wii has. It's the complete opposite of FPS on Wii. Which may play better with the Wiimote you still going to buy the 360 version.

Well how much effort could they put on the Wii version? It uses a remote that basically just detects waggle. Its a step up from a DVD at best.

OT: Saw the videos, they just cloned Dance Central. Which is smart, its the best dance game ever.

The PS3 version appears to be just a port of the Wii game. So yeah, Kinect definitely the way to go.

Actually, no. You have the option of using a microphone or using Kinect. Using Kinect is a feature because of the inbuilt microphone. Master mode has you dancing and singing at the same time. Impossible with a microphone in your hand.

So in which case, I'm completely right!

And this game is a Ubisoft game. Your Shape fitness has this Avatar of you. It's freakishly real. Showing even your clothes and tatoos. Looks much better on your telly.

Guess I was indeed wrong about the microphone part. The few reviews of the 360 version I've read so far either said one needs additional wireless microphones or simply didn't mention it, which made me believe they are necessary for the singing. My bad.

About the user avatar: I own Your Shape, and while it's actually even my favourite Kinect game, I do think the user avatar looks quite weird, like a freak. But looking at some screenshots of the Kinect version of MJ: the experience just made me believe that the video in this thread was really just a bad example. The user images in those screenshots were indeed looking good.

Unlike in Your Shape, I would however still prefer mimicing the moves of a Michael Jackson avatar over seeing my image in a dancing games like this one.

If they want to sell Kinect then putting a side by side when a game is available on both will always put the Kinect in a good light.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

MJ and Child of Eden and Star Wars are gonna sell lots of Kinects.

Doesn't surprise me...if you want to play a good dancing game KINECT is the only way to go.

I'll probably be picking this game up tomorrow. Also it should be obvious by now that Kinect is King for dance games.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

What's interesting about this game is that actual owners seem to be rather disappointed by the Kinect version, but they love the Wii version.

On Amazon.com for example, the Wii version's average score is an impressive 93% of the possible maximum score. The Kinect version on the other hand has less than 55%...
