God Of War 3

You should do a Platformer one to address the anti-Nintendo balance so far

Castlevania & God of War - For being the most gorgeous of the bunch, both have better story-telling, and both are more slow paced. Gof of War takes the edge, Castlevania is way to big (it took me around 25 hours to complete), it drags itself too much.

Bayonetta & Ninja Gaiden- Fast paced, more skill based hack n slash games. To me, they're the most fun to play. One is way more hardcore, the other is more fun (Bayonetta have the best scenes i ever seen in a hack n slash game ever)

So, my answer is, they're all good and different, but my favorite is Bayonetta, by far. And yeah, there's alot of stuff missing man. If you want to make polls, have at least a larger range of options. I would vote for Nier if i could. :/

We all know God of war 3 is pretty good but it was going to win this poll no matter what cause of:

1. console exclusive - they always get more votes than multiplats on VGchartz...always!

2. Brand name -3rd game in the major popular franchise

3. highest sales - highest market penetration

4.purrty graphix - people like shiny things

However Bayonetta being a new IP with no previous hype/expectations, no "best console graphics" claims is the winner here due to solid second place finish.

And LoS can burn in hell!

I really hope the Castlevania title that´s in the works for the 3DS isn´t like LoS, or the ones on the PS2...but I have a bad feeling about it :(

lol, yeah if I consider everything it would be 3rd best on this list. Bayonetta is something special, and Ninja Gaiden 2 was good too.

For me and my gameplay preferences I'd rate them as follows:

Bayonetta > Ninja gaiden 2 > ninja blade >>>>god of war 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lords of shadow

Didn't play more than dantes inferno demo but I hated its guts.

I think its pretty obvious I can't stand cinematic driven games with static camera...  :)

I didn't care for Dante's Inferno either (Just jump and throw crosses) and Castlevania I lost interest in.

My personal tops for Hack and Slash this generation, based on what I have played, are God of War 3 and Ninja Blade.

I really think Ninja Blade is better than reviews say. It really was a lot of fun.

Bayonetta is MEH. The only funny playthrough is the thrid in Climax for the Platinum... and yet easy... the first playthrough is so boring that at times I slept on the couch.

Bayonetta is a 7/10.

Woah, i know an opinion is an opinion, but c'mon now, Bayonetta is boring? I found it way less boring than the likes of God of War and Castlevania LoS.
