With Square-Enix, the classic hits just keep on coming. After their recent announcement regarding Final Fantasy V's release on the PlayStation Store comes another similar announcement that's bound to get many, many gamers very excited.

Final Fantasy VI, arguably the best game in the series, is coming to PlayStation Network. This news comes by way of the Japanese Square Enix Members Twitter, which states that Final Fantasy VI is coming to the PlayStation Network on April 20th due to the amount of requests they've received from fans.

There's no word on if or when Final Fantasy VI will come to the PlayStation Network outside of Japan, but considering Square Enix's recent track record with PSone Classics, there's good reason to be hopeful.

So PSN has VII, VIII and IX... Is getting V and VI.

Right, so on PSN we have 

Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX

and now:

Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI

It is quite clear, 7 classics therefore! FINAL FANTASY VII remake confirmed!!!!

Actually they might be for PSP only... They are on iOS as well so they are widely avaliable

Never heard the orchestrated version of Terra's theme. It's so awesome T_T

I hope it's not just a port from the SNES version but more like what they're doing with V on PSN.

I think they are also on any smartphone mobile...so they are pretty much everywhere, I mean for heaven sakes I saw blackberry have either 1 or 2. 

I might pick 6 up here, or GBA, or wait for a remake or VC port?. I already have 7-9 on PSN thanks to a friend. 

Actually I will just get my friend again, more likely to buy Grandia right now. 

I would pick them up if they were on Android, give me some quality games to play

I have VII and IX on PSN, and IV on pre-order, having never played any before X so I am making progress

I would have waited a bit with IV, it seems like Square Enix PSN games are starting to dip couple of months afterwords, I might pick it up, by the time NGP launches.
