I understood you, and I am NOT saying that the HD consoles are in a drought, just that if most of the games named were Q3 and onwards, they are not in themselves any proof of a lack of a CURRENT drought in the HD consoles. The drought people are talking about for the Wii is until end Q2, not in Q3 and Q4.

The drought is not over until Nintendo releases good games again. Its been 4-5 months since the last good wii game. That is unacceptable. Quit defending a company that has clearly made a mistake. Playing older games is great, but justifying the lack of any new games is just foolishness.

When was the last good Microsoft game anyway, out of interest? You know, first party...

Your MS comment was true, but what you fail to realize is that at least the 360 has 3rd party support. Wii is not so fortunate...

ok, that's what I was asking you (it was not a rhetorical question...) since I don't follow HD games much beyond knowing they exist...

Wow. You are dead wrong sir. You are grasping at straws now lol. Accept it, Nintendo is in a severe drought. There are 0 quality games coming out. Luckily, a new system is likely to be announced, but that does not change the fact 0 good games for the wii are coming out anytime soon.

I agree. A lot of the games that I simply grew to dislike are now looming again thanks to not having any money to buy new games, and not having any new games out. 

Thankfully, the only game I really need is little king's story, so I'll just replay that when I'm done. Nintendo can wake me back up in a few years.

And like someone said, you can't expect a Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime EVERY MONTH. That's not the way Nintendo works

oh hell no.... :D you need to check the line up again...there is NO drought for ms or sony..at all

For me, this year, we have had:

360- Nothing. Coming up- Gears 3, Portal 2

Wii- Nothing. Coming up- Conduit 2, Skyward Sword, Xenoblade, The Last Story, maybe Pandora's Tower

PS3- Little Big Planet 2, maybe Killzone 3. Coming up- Uncharted 3.

 

So I know which one has the most games I want coming up anyway

sure but that's not what you said now is it...which is a blatent lie to say the least. There will be NO drought for HD consoles no matter how you say it. Carl did a good job listing some of the more known games...if you add XBL and PSN games (there are some real gems like Jounrney coming up, new games not rehashed versions of older games)...so no..there is something for everyone...

Again, are you talking about Q2? I see Conegamer's mistake, he wrote "May onwards", to which people are responding. But the drought discussed by most is a Q2 drought. To say "There are 0 quality games coming out"(unless you meant Q2 - in which case why did you name Q3 and Q4 games as well?)  is beyond wrong. Of course anyone can claim that they think Zelda, the upcoming Kirby and Xenoblade (and possibly, though it's not certain it's coming this year, Last Story) will not be quality games, but that would be on par to saying Uncharted 3 and Gears 3 will not be quality games...
