Indeed. It needs to be selling around 80k a week November/December to stand any chance.

Good game gets good sales anyway!

Don't forget that the sales are constantly adjusted up for it. We'll see how it goes once PD release new data.

We shall see indeed!

@Carl- I hated the first one, second one was better though, but neither were AAA standard...

If you give up FF for JD then good for you! And people have been dishing out doom ever since the original was Christmas Number 1

Also, looks like Epic Mickey will reach 2mil sometime in the next few weeks

At 1,892,192 ATM. For a 3rd party Wii game with barely any advertising released in a cramped time in the year wit split reviews after 18 weeks and without Japan, that's not bad!

wow psp outsold 3ds

@Zlejedi  exactly and then people wonder why the companies keep making several dance and exercise games, because thats what sells the most and then some want to get mad, like they wouldnt do the same thing, but im glad for Just Dance 2, if this helps Ubisoft fund their amazing titles like Assassin's Creed, then i hope it sells more copies!!!

YAY

Now do one with Super Mario Galaxy/2!

Looking at this, I doubt GT5 will ever reach 10mil. I thought that Halo Reach was unlikely as well, but now I think it should clear that easily, sometime next year...

Interesting how GT5 has just dropped away as of late though. I have much sadness

GT5 hasn't had a price cut, while Reach has. Puts things in perspective.

Why is GT5 below Reach's numbers two months ago then? Keep beating that drum though, it amuses me.

Well, considering Gran Turismo doesn't sell like Halo (even though the end result may be neck and neck), the answer is pretty simple. And you can save your usual bullshit, condescending approach for somebody else. Nothing was wrong in what I said, nor should it have struck a personal nerve.

Oh it's just the same tired lines you've posted every week for like the last month.

Whenever someone mentions Halo: Reach's sales, I'm always looking forward to your "But it had a price cut!" posts attempting to dismiss them. I look forward to such commentary when Gran Turismo gets one.

What about Halo Reach being bundled like hell? That and a price cut at 39.99$ and the sales directly appear less impressive. But you won't see that this way for obvious reasons. You say people try to downplay Halo Reach sales, but it's often an answer to people like you making them appear what they're not. If the game had those sales with full price and without bundle then yea, that'd be freaking impressive, ftb it's not, or at least no the way you think it is.

Wii doing nicely despite virtually no games this year.. Beating the 360 which is fresh off the Kinect, and had a redesign and a Halo game last year. Only being slightly beaten by PS3, but that gap should be all but erased when the holiday season approaches.

3DS is doing great, and it doesn't even have a 2D Mario yet. PSP refuses to die in Japan, despite being on life support in Europe and a zombie in the US.

What makes you think that the 360 can just erase that gap?  Kinect?  I doubt it.  Kinect was seen as one of the IT things to buy for Holiday Season '10, and that was mainly in the US.  This season it won't get nearly the push it got last year, both in terms of ads and being new tech.  And this season it will have to compete with the 3DS, and quite possibly the NGP, as the new IT thing to buy.

If it's a pricecut, I highly doubt that, too.  Since the PS3 is beating the 360 even with a $199 360 SKU, Kinect, and a new design, Sony will feel no need to rush to drop the price of the PS3.  However, the second the 360 drops its price by $50, Sony will answer with their own $50 cut.  A cut which will help the PS3 greater than it will help the 360, as it will be the first time ever the PS3 has been available for the price of $249.

I feel pretty confident in saying that fiscal year '11(ends March '12) will be when the PS3 takes 2nd.  Heck, it may happen earlier than that.  Possibly before the end of this year.

err I meant that Wii will cut the gap

Whoops, lol.  Reading comprehension fail on my part.
