PS3 still on TOP lovin it!

With a price cut this year its gonna be epic year for ps3 games and sales wise.

What makes you think that the 360 can just erase that gap?  Kinect?  I doubt it.  Kinect was seen as one of the IT things to buy for Holiday Season '10, and that was mainly in the US.  This season it won't get nearly the push it got last year, both in terms of ads and being new tech.  And this season it will have to compete with the 3DS, and quite possibly the NGP, as the new IT thing to buy. 

If it's a pricecut, I highly doubt that, too.  Since the PS3 is beating the 360 even with a $199 360 SKU, Kinect, and a new design, Sony will feel no need to rush to drop the price of the PS3.  However, the second the 360 drops its price by $50, Sony will answer with their own $50 cut.  A cut which will help the PS3 greater than it will help the 360, as it will be the first time ever the PS3 has been available for the price of $249. 

I feel pretty confident in saying that fiscal year '11(ends March '12) will be when the PS3 takes 2nd.  Heck, it may happen earlier than that.  Possibly before the end of this year.

err I meant that Wii will cut the gap

More pathetic when you have a lot of exclusives and multis, and you aren't in first.

This much speaks the truth.

When you have LBP, Crysis, Homefront, Killzone etc. and your competitor has nothing and they're STILL selling the same as you and even beating you with SW sales, you've got to think that it's MS in trouble, not Nintendo

Sony, well, they're ahead and getting an advantage. Not bad. But they have other issues ATM

Looking at this, I doubt GT5 will ever reach 10mil. I thought that Halo Reach was unlikely as well, but now I think it should clear that easily, sometime next year...

I'm waiting to see how GT5 fares holiday 2011.  Given its release date it was bound to get a nice launch with the holidays and equally it was bound to fade during this period.  I think whether it reaches 10m or not will depend on whether it gets a second, smaller, holiday boost at the end of this year as the core driving franchise on PS3.  If it does, then I think it will claw its way past 10 million.  If not then it probably won't.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Tri is at 2mil. And Goldeneye, Epic Mickey, Resi4 will all reach that as well.

The CODs are at 1.2mil as well
