Nah, what the tipical Californian or wannabe Californian thinks of people who dont share their beleifs

You're the one who goes and calls people "douchebags", and when you're called out on it you act act like some sort of victim. So far you've succeeeded in proving you're a jerk.

You're the one who called me out first, and you did so by confirming the exact same thing i said about those ''douchebags''

it has to do with the comprassion you made between jesus's agenda and Californian hipies.

I said Jesus had hippie-like beleifs, and that I never understood why PEOPLE LIKE YOU liked him so much, when your beliefs are nothing like his in the slightest.

He wasnt anything like arrogant californians who thinks themselfes superior persons compared with the people from the south, that was my point.

So one of the largest countries in the world, with one of the largest economies and militaries in the world, that produces tons of musical, literary and videogame content that is used throughout the world will lose all influence with the loss of Hollywood? Right ....

Even the loss of Hollywood would only be temporary, as the countless independent movie makers across the country (and the countless tiny movie studios outside of Hollywood) filled the void of Americans seeking American content; and grew into an equally large industry that was (hopefully) based on talent.

The economy and the military things aren't impressive. Any country could gain supremacy in those fields. Obviously musc, literature and video games are very important. But so is Hollywood, and indie films won't fill that void. Plus, is pop music any better then Hollywood? Books like Twilight?

I called you out on the fact that by calling others douchebags for no reason, and without giving any sort of arguments, you're effectively making yourself be exactly that which you accuse others of.

He wasnt anything like arrogant californians who thinks themselfes superior persons compared with the people from the south, that was my point.

He had beliefs with which I'm sure you disagree with. And he didn't call anyone douchebags, nor did he judge others. And most people are better than people from the South.

No, YOU are making yourself to be exaclty like the people i am acusing of. You basiclly even confiremd that with your first quote

I never said that I am in any way, shape or form even remotly in the slightest comparable to Jesus Christ. No one is. And what are his beleifs that i disagree with? And funny how you talk about judgement and than say stuff like you did in ur last sentence.

I don't think you understand what you're saying ... The cultural dominance of the United States has been driven primarily by their economic dominance.

If you had another country with a significantly larger economy than the United States, over time their greater investment in entertainment products would result in products that have far higher production values; and those production values would create a competitive advantage for those goods, and they would eventually surpass the United States in cultural dominance.

That's frighteningly true, unfortunatly, the cultural influence is so out of sync with America, and what it used to stand for, that it's pretty much a detriment. So yeah, let them go.

You'll regret it if that ever happens. You should be more grateful for what you have.

No, no I really won't. There is literally nothing worth saving in California.

actually there is alot, all the environmental pushs have cleaned up most of the smog in San Fran. Cali is the leader in the USA for the clean energy push. There are at least 500MW of power being constructed right now which even if most of that power goes to businesses and corporations it cuts down the need for coal energy.

Now if only California would instate laws banning generation 3 and below nuclear plants. =/

Anyways, there are also a lot of very beautiful women in Cali which need protection. And there is also amazing surf, for those that surf. It is a great tourist state, better than Florida.

Overall, I'd rather see Florida fail, like it is (thanks Rick Scott!), because it sucks. But Florida could easily be out of debt if my horrid governor would take the 20 billion from BP!!!!

For sure.  It's not like there is anything uniquely "Holllywood".

"Hollywood" became big because America was big... not vice versa.

They became big back when "America was cool" and american stuff was cool.

Though, the international hollywood and the hollywood that's big in the US can be pretty different anyway.

Heck, while not hollywood, the Governator has been picked up internationally but not domestically.

The cultural dominance of the US was driven by the fact that while the world was torn by war, Americans could sit comfortably and make entertainment products. This gave them a huge advantage, especially in the movie industry. Obviously the economy helped, but if the US had been a warzone (like Europe), the movie industry would have never developed like it did.

As I answered to HappySquirell, had the US been a warzone, there would've been no Hollywood.
