So one of the largest countries in the world, with one of the largest economies and militaries in the world, that produces tons of musical, literary and videogame content that is used throughout the world will lose all influence with the loss of Hollywood? Right ....

Even the loss of Hollywood would only be temporary, as the countless independent movie makers across the country (and the countless tiny movie studios outside of Hollywood) filled the void of Americans seeking American content; and grew into an equally large industry that was (hopefully) based on talent.

The economy and the military things aren't impressive. Any country could gain supremacy in those fields. Obviously musc, literature and video games are very important. But so is Hollywood, and indie films won't fill that void. Plus, is pop music any better then Hollywood? Books like Twilight?

I don't think you understand what you're saying ... The cultural dominance of the United States has been driven primarily by their economic dominance.

If you had another country with a significantly larger economy than the United States, over time their greater investment in entertainment products would result in products that have far higher production values; and those production values would create a competitive advantage for those goods, and they would eventually surpass the United States in cultural dominance.
