I never played GOW or GOW2.  I really don't know what to expect.  I read comments, reviews and watched videos, but it's not like playing it for the first time.  I was wondering what you guys tought of the single player campaigns.  I am hoping for EPIC! 

I am now finishing Crysis 2 and I can see myself replaying it a couple of times (but I'll wait for the grain fix patch before).  The SP was so fun and it had memorable moments in it.  Sure hope Gears of War will be as good (even if it's now a FPS).

Get a friend to play through the campaign with. Gears campaign is great on it own, but as a co-op experience it's one of the very best games this generation, no questions asked.

I thought the first one was the worst game I played on the 360. 

The story sucked
The character were bland
The combat felt clunky
Everything was too dark
The enemies were basically earthworms on steroids
train segments sucked
Chainsaw bayonet is the worse weapon design ever(that's how aids gets spread!) 
Halfway through the game I wished the covenant would invade so I would have a side to root for
Game takes no skill. pop up shoot the 8 foot tall enemies, duck back under cover
No skill actually required for the game
The blind guys were way too easy
The boomers were way too easy 
the driving parts were way too easy and boring!
The game itself was boring 
Final boss was way too easy...
Hammer of Dawn takes all the skill away from the game

For the love of all that is good get a refund!

First one was amazing and the second one even better.

And I agree with Khuutra. Co-op makes this game shine even more.

Gears co-op is some of the best co-op this generation. Would be a shame for you to miss out on it if you're planning on jumping in to the series.

In my defense besides Halo 3 my favorite shooter of this gen is Earth Defense 2017. :D

I completely forgot about this collection. I think it was because I couldn't find it at the Gamestop near my area and I picked up Splinter Cell : Conviction instead.
