It is very simple to know why they hate Xbox brand. Wich kinds of games sell more on this platform? FPS and TPS anyone? Which kinds of games the majority of japanese don't like? Hummmmm. Difficult answer... Right.

So much win for SONY.

Is it possible that Nintendo is trying to hold off putting their big guns on the 3DS to get third party sales higher?  If this was their plan it seems to be backfiring.  Thrid party games don't seem to be lighting it up which is causing less then stellar sales for the system.   It's definately not a failure and will go on to sell plenty, but I already think it may be falling inot the classic Nintendo hardware stigma.  Once we get some AAA first party titles, sales will explode.

This is just a part of Nintendo trying to get more third party support...what could we expect? They could just release some big games and sales would explode like you say...their attempt is to get higer sales long term, another Wii situation is not what they want. People acting as if 3DS was a failure don't understand this system changes complitely the strategy from the past...the fact that it's being outsold by PSP means just that PSP is a great system for Japanese people, it's outselling all the other consoles even without games (many have been delayed) or with smaller ones...the only failure I see in this chart is the Wii, unable to live as a normal console. 3DS won't have this problem for sure...

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

The mods really got to him, I'll talk for him.

I'll be back to my old self eventually.

I just need to go something like 6 Months without a ban.

I know you can do it, Carl. I've lasted ~4 years without a ban. I know you can as well.

That's because you did all your trollin' on all those Kirby alts over the years :3

Nice sales for Sony hardware. Interesting to see how much the PSP picked up that late on it`s lifetime, I don`t think it ever happened before.

I won`t comment anything about the 3DS until I see what Nintendo is planning. But I don`t think another NSMB will carry this one...

Microsoft may just give up on Japan and focus elsewhere on a less Xenophobia region.

Please, enough with that offensive crap.

Truth hurt's huh?

No, you're being offensive. Racist, in fact. The situation you attempt to sideline as simple xenophobia is considerably more complex, and has many different reasons for existing, not just your single racist one.

Calling Japan xenophobic is racist now? Ah I see the Japanese are a race and criticizing them is therefore racist?

Wait, what? Are you saying the Japanese aren't a race? And you don't find his comment in the slightest bit offensive? Right, I see.

"Racism is the belief that the genetic factors which constitute race, ethnicity, or nationality are a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that ethnic differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race."

-Wikipedia

Generalizing about Japan is, in a way, racist imo. Besides, wouldn't you just call this patriotism? They love their country just like many Americans love theirs and support it by buying its products.

I'll accept that. I was using the word to show how he was incorrectly generalising about another race to further his personal agenda, which clearly was incorrect. I blame my mistake on, err... being an idiot.

Still, an offensive, untrue post for many reasons, as many have already discussed in this thread.

Would you go as far to say that saying "Japan is xenophobic" implies that their xenophobia is something genetic making them an inferior race? Racism first of all implies that there are different races.

I wouldn't use the word racist too lightly.
