You did the right list. Monster Hunter Tri is pretty awesome. You can also try Donkey Kong Country Returns, another great platformer.

Going for titles that haven't been quoted as much. I was pleasently surprised by the Trauma Center series in the Wii, and I've been eagerly awaiting the next chapter to appear in Europe. Another fun little title is the Munchables, dive into a munching frenzy, use it for relaxing.

I've looked into getting the better one (marble saga, I think) , but something always seems to disuade me at the last minute...

That game is not a RPG. Don't say stuff like that because someone will believe you and be disappointed.

Fair enough. It's a strategy game with a story, like Fire Emblem  - which is why I brought it up in the first place.

-(If you haven't played them before) Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition and Okami

-Super Mario Galaxy 2 (better than SMG1 and Epic Mickey)

-Monster Hunter Tri (great value)

-Zelda Twilight Princess (is great but I'd rather buy the old Wind Waker if you don't mind buying a mem card and a gamepad)
