I agree, and if anyone even tries to say GPU and ram you better Stfu because I have some proof that the cell can act as the ps3's GPU all by itself, and deliver lighting fast processing speed.

I hope your not talking about the raytracing thing... as was already exlained to you, it wasn't what you thought it was... and also i don't think you understand what raytracing actually is.

I'd like to see this proof of yours.

And you do realize that you can run software rendering on any CPU, even something like the Wii could software render a game using only the CPU.

I do not undestand why this game needs crash damage to be real. Sure it is a nice feature, but it is almost to the point were you are pushing it to close to reality and taking the game completely out of it. I have heard Yamiachi speak on this before about how it would be akward to do crash damage. If people really want to be that serious about it then you have to add all kinds of other annoiances in to.

Just imagin starting with 15,000 US dollars. You go and get a used car, put a new muffler system in it and, your spent. Now lets hit the track, lap three you come out of the corner a little to fast, catch the wall, cut back across traffic and get your car bashed to peices. Now since everything is copletely real you have a broken leg that has to be treated $800 dollars. The car is totaled and you made no money from the race. Time to start over.

Their is a fine line you have to play between games, and reality. Yamiachi wants GT to be as real as it can while still being a game and giving you a break for the crap we have to deal with in real life.

To those saying that without crash damage this is just GT4 but cleaner. Thier is a lot of stuff you are overlooking. GT has never been online before. Their is no other first party racer that allows 16 players online at once. GTTV is a feature that takes this beyond games and gives even more reason for the car enthusiasts to be interested. They may not be re-writing the book on racers, but it is still Gran Turismo more polished than ever. That by itself is better than any other car game on the market. I have yet to play a game that can even touch GT3. Forza 2 is a great experiance, and custom sound tracks should be a standar, but that is all I like about it more.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Last time checked on Jump Festa 2008 FFXIII had Playstation 3 ONLY. It was numerious times stated that FFXIII is PS3 exclusive game. x360 just simply CAN`T handle SUCH graphics.

Some of us just simply CAN`T handle SUCH random CAPITALIZATION of WORDS.

KBG beat me to the punch regarding damage.  Lack of damage does not mean GT5 = GT4 in HD.  Online play and the ability to have more than 6 cars on track at once are both pretty substantial gameplay additions.  If you want to play bumper cars and look at the pretty smashed-up models, GT is not your game.

That's what an options menu is for. So you could toggle crash damage on/off.

But it's not gonna end up being GT4 but prettier - It's gonna end up being GT2 but prettier.

Fact is the GT gameplay has not changed one bit since it was on the PSX, and to be honest GT takes itself so seriously now it's become boring and has lost the sense of excitement that made 1 and 2 so great to begin with.

"""
Uhhh, you do realize that the link you posted shows GT5 prologue isn't rending in true 1080p, right?
"""

==> thx sieanr,
so GT5pro is not true 1080p
end of the discussion

"""
Well I was referring to MGS and FF13, if they are being held back so long it may indicate an intention to port the game to 360 since PS3 is still lagging
"""

==> I dont think so,
1/ it is not lagging, it is rising
2/ I assume MGS4 may come to Xbox360, but later, and It will not influence the fate of the Xbox360 life.
3/ I assume FFXIII will stay exclusive
each FF games are 1 console exclusive : NESonly/SNESonly/PSXonly/PS2only
and later are release on PC

Time to Work !

@ sieanr

No, Sony domination started with Enchanted Arms...

Woah, so now all of a sudden people are saying that damage modeling(hereafter reffered to as DM) isn't that important, after ranting on about how the GT5 DM will redefine racing games? Just lame.

Also, that statement that the xbox isn't a true hd console.....just sad really. It's the sort of megalomania that made some video gamers turn away from Sony before the release of the PS3.
