So i am very near to getting my ds and am very hyped about playing again. So i thought i would make this thread and check out some crazy battles you guys have had.

 

So it was me against my friend. We are down to our last pokemon, my pidgeot vs his milotic. Now, i thought i was going to lose, his milotic had full health as did my pidgeot. I go first with a fly (trying to get away from his ice beam). he misses his ice beam, but then, my fly misses! What are the chances! (5% lol). He hits me with ice beam and my pidgeot drops to about quarter health. I then say "fuck it" and go for hyper beam! Down goes his milotic in one shot rofl!

Was that Hyper Beam a critical hit? Probably that would be the only way to OHKO a Milotic with it, given Pidgeot's crappy Sp.Atk stat (assuming that you both were on level 100).

My craziest pokemon fight probably was against Battle Frontier Tycoon Palmer, for the gold print. He starts with a Regigigas which is easily taken out via Lucario's Aura Sphere, given that Regigigas is crap for the first five turns. He then sends out Cresselia which Psychics the hell out of Lucario in one shot.

I send out Dragonite to Outrage her and she manages to survive it with what seemed to be 1% of her health. She retaliates with Ice Beam and boom goes Dragonite.

At this moment I begin to think I'm kinda screwed, but I send out Garchomp anyway. One dragon claw afterwards and down goes Cresselia. I was aching to see which pokemon he'll send out next, given that he only uses legendaries and out comes Heatran.

When I see Heatran out I start to laugh like a maniac, given that Earthquake would easily destroy it, but when I make the move, the bastard survives because of a frigging Focus Sash!!!! I was left like "FUUUUUUUUUUUUU".

As I thought that any of his moves couldn't do much damage to me, he pulls out an Explosion and I was like "OH shit if it kills me I'll have to do all the 49 consecutive wins again!!!"....Explosion connects and....it leaves me with 1 HP

i thought so too lol, but i worked xD

Did you had an held item to boost the damage from Normal or Special Attacks? Because even a maxed Sp.Atk EV with benefitial nature Pidgeot (262 Sp.Atk max) against a non Sp.Def EV with detrimental nature Milotic (224 Sp.Def), using Hyper Beam (bonus STAB without any bonus damage from items) should do about 185 - 223, more or less. 

Given that Milotic, even with no HP EV's, at level 100 has 300 HP, it can only be killed by a Critical Hyper Beam from a Pidgeot (again, considering you don't have items to boost Normal or Sp.Atk damage).

I still remember to this day, in the original pokemon gold I was training a venasaur at the pokemon league, I forget which elite four member uses a clefairy(or clefable), and venasaur vs clefairy(or clefable) for the win I had the pokemon at about 1/3 of it's health just one more move to win it, clefairy(or clafable) uses metronome and i'm like"I got this in the bag!!!" all of a sudden "clefairy(or clefable) uses Aeroblast" knocked out my venasaur on one it and I'm like WHAT THE FUCK!!!!

a lucky break for me was I was battling my friend, and it was arceus(mine) vs darkria for the win, my arcues had gotten paralyzed from his raikou which knew zap cannon and had about 1/4 of it health, he was so conifednt he was going to win and I did to, but I then I realized he wound't be able to put me to sleep! then to make it better I had given my arcues a dark plate and his darkrai knew dark void, nightmare, dream eater, psychc. i was like "what are the odds" and after a few moves I knocked it out with judgement!!!

Hmmm I don't recall any Elite Four member from any game ever using a Clefable, given that all Elite 4 members have type oriented pokemon (Psychic, Poison, Fighting, Dark on Gold/Silver).
