Forums - Nintendo - Review: 3DS

I picked it up, and it's disconcerting in that it needs to be further from my face than i'm used to holding the DS

I need more time to test all the features, and Pilotwings should be a good run for that. I had forgotten just how easy it was to crash in Resort's Plane mode <_>

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I love your review, it makes the thing sound really like my next handheld experience, even with the huge amounts of doubt I've held for it up until now, mainly because what they've promised works well and is actually more of a good gameplay element rather than a lame gimmick. And Faceraiders sounds hilarious.

I will probably end up waiting 'till the redesign, because there MUST be one, but if this keeps up, I'm getting 3DS prior to NGP anyway.

There may well end up being a re-design in the future, but it could be in a few months, in 2014, or, like the Wii, never. That's the risk you'll be taking...

My friend code is 2878-9577-5890, but if you want to add me, please, POST ON MY WALL so I know please!

I want to resist and not buy 3DS. At least until holiday (if I can find anyone). Sounds very awsome!

NO! You should buy a 3DS! It's awesome!!

Your decision of course...

Why such the high score if you hate it then?

<snip>

When I score systems I do it for the games it can play.

You must really love PilotWings! I will have my system and copy in four hours. I am very excited.

Yeah, it is really cool. If you like the series, you will love this. Also, your playtime won't be around three hours until you are done with it, like certain people suggest.

People who suggest that PilotWings games can be completed in three hours a re like those who claim Vanquish can be completed in four: complete and utter crybabies who don't understand the true joy of a high (or perfect) score.

From what Ive seen im disappointed with the graphics. Just watched those Pilotwings Resort videos on Gametrailers and it doesn't look much better than Pilotwings N64.

That's because your memories of Pilotwings 64 are just as blurred as the graphics of that Nintendo 64 game. Resort really is a generation ahead which is only logical considering that the 3DS is similar to 6th gen home consoles in its performance.

Nice review
