I'm not getting any games at launch so I'm depending on the AR games and the system itself to show off the 3D, will I be disappointed? Can't wait till Midnight tomorrow x_x |
Definitely. Put on an application, press home and then click on another one, nice layering effect there.
There is a MASSIVE difference

Multiple reports conflict with his. I've seen the 3D and personally I don't like it. However that's not the 3DS's fault. I just like 3D. I extremely HATE it when i'm watching Cinema. |
It does vary, but since a review is from my opinion and my perspective I use the data I have
Best advice is to try it at a demo stand and make an opinion there. If you don't have strain after 5 minutes, you probably won't for couple hours.
Take time to adjust 3D as well. Not everyone likes 100% depth!

Alright thanks, I prolly wont get a game for it till Zelda in June hopefully. I'll be happy if I can see the 3D still with the AR games and stuff.

Oh yeah I understand. I thought the review was good. I'll be picking up one in the future, just not right now.
Judging by forum response; I think Nintendo designed the 3DS so that Sony fans will experience headaches and eye strain. There is a lot of evidence that points to this.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

It's amazing how they do that. Sony must attract groups of people with sensitive eyes.......
| RolStoppable said: I just don't get it. I can see the 3D (stuff appearing to extend through the 3DS's backside and stuff popping out), but it doesn't make anything easier to visualize. In most instances it just becomes harder to play the games (I have Pilotwings and Ridge Racer). I generally went with low 3D intensity, because it was less troubling to see it correctly and therefore it was less likely to cause dizziness. But what the hell is the point? Now it's even easier to hit a spiky ball floating in the sky! I guess the 3D is messing with my depth perception, because I find it harder to judge distances with it being turned on. I fail to see the point of 3D. It makes me play worse, it lowers the brightness level of the screen, it consumes more energy and it doesn't make games look significantly cooler. Quick summary:
My score: 9.5/10.

Lol. I love how your post seems unforgivingly critical but then you give it a score of 9.5/10.
Oh, Rol!

There are also a few nice little Easter Eggs with the 3DS. The Home menu responds to sound - try blowing into the microphone or putting some music on and you'll see the icons vibrating. There are 5 different Easter Eggs as far as I remember, read it on the CVG site a few days ago.
Edit: Details here.
