Persona Persona Persona. Still the best RPG (besides Demon's Souls if you consider it one) released this gen. If you like Anime at all you will LOVE Persona 3 and 4. Which one is better? That is completely up to you, but you should play them both.

Grandia 2 was the first Grandia I ever played and remains my favourite, damn that was ages ago! I wish it had a harem ending though, I'm mean Elena and Millenia were practically the same right :p and as a rule robot girl don't say no...

Anyways I would also recommend the original Disgaea which I think has one of the best story around.

but Persona is not this Gen it's PS2 so it can't ever be classed as this Gen but the Persona series is pure awesomeness.

I know its not an RPG , but you have to get into Elder Scrolls, i think you should experiment more, its sad to see that you already have Fallout 3 , i'm sure thats the reason why you are avoiding Elder Scrolls game, but you should take a dip and try it if you like RPGs.

This gen? Two names: Demon's Souls and Valkyria chronicles.

Ohhhh... I agree with people here... the first Grandia (PS/Saturn) is one of best JRPG ever made together with FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, etc.

I respectfully disagree. It came out during this gen, I will always refer to it as part of this gen.

What system the Game is on determines the Gen that the Game is not the year the game was released. There are still Dreamcast Games being released but you wouldn't call those this Gen wood you?
