your sarcasm isn't necessary.  no one is suggesting that anyone release a digital-only distribution console.  but these numbers clearly show that digital delivery is increasing in acceptance and all console manufacturers should build business models with the increased importance of digital delivery in mind much like the NGP is planning to do with simultaneous digital/physical releases.

or to put it the way you seem to enjoy...

PS3 has more contected devices to PSN then XBL. 

Also This is what MS would do with an console DD only. they would start cheap to suck the customer in and use there MS point crap to cover the amount of increases to the point they increase past the orginal box product.

I didn't say they should be ignored, I'm just saying that those people that say total digital distribution is in the near future just isn't sane.
