It needs a price cut in order to outsell it in the Americas, and even that's temporary.

In NA...?? Likely never tbh. Temorarily perhaps... but never on a steady week to week basis.

I think when both consoles drop to $249, the PS3 will at least start selling neck and neck with the 360 in Americas, with them alternating between who is in first every few weeks.  But when the PS3 drops to $199, LOOK OUT!  At that time, the PS3 should be able to stay ahead of the 360 almost every week.  Having said that, it will still never be able to completely chip away at the gap the 360 has on the PS3 in Americas.  But Japan and EMEAA, the PS3 will be able to increase its gap by quite a bit.

ms will have it around 99 or something close at that time with kinect so i highly doubt it

Well, I know a lot of people who have a 360 but not a PS3 that say the PS3 would have been a better choice and that they mainly got the 360 because their friends already had 1...and Halo LOL. 

Anyway, it depends if these people are willing to "upgrade" to the PS3 once the price gets low enough. IMO it will happen eventually...when the price gets to $150-$200.

The same time the 360 starts outselling the PS3 in Japan
