Name about 3-5 or more of games you thought would at least be good but turned out bad.

KOF12, I was such a huge fan of this franchise i bought every KOF game i could. got all the PS2 ones, even bought that terrible PS1 edition of 99, hell i even bought the orochi collection for Wii with a classic control to play it. So i was pumped for 12 especially after how good 11 was. But man WTF??!! The character design was terrible, no story or endboss??? I never thought I would miss the cheap ass bosses of the past at least they looked cool. Iori Yagami was made terrible, i dont know how you can screw him up but they did. THe online, my god the online was laggy as crap. THe only good thing about the game is the graphics and they didnt even get that right, some idiot decided to go 1080p for this all that did was make the pixels more pronounce and visible. why didnt i get BlazBlue instead??? Worst game i bought this gen.

Smash Bros. Brawl. By all rights this could have been the best game ever made. I thought the subspace emissary was too long and kinda of pointless, but kudos to them for trying something different. I love the new smash attacks. didnt like having Wolf, Fox, and Falco. Did we need 3 of them?? But i didnt care because this game had my 3 fav all time VG characters in it. Sonic, Snake, Luigi. But the online, my god. Only 2min time battle?? thats crap where are the options and the lag, i have never played a match with no lag. What did they delay it for??? Cause it sure as hell wasnt to improve the online

FF13  The story was boring. I dont mind if there isnt anything to do in the game but walk down corridors ( i do) but at least the story doesnt have to blow and characters be boring (Vanille). THe battle isnt the best but ok, thats the only good thing about the game.

Tekken 6 why o why do i have to play the damn scenario mode just to see peoples endings and get the most money for items. its like Namco wants to force people to try to play there sad ass beat em up. You suck at beat em ups Namco. Stick to fighting.

Modern Warfare 2, the story was terrible and had more plot holes than a miniature golf course. the spec ops was a joke. they took chunks of the SP levels and gave you missions. yeah thats real nice. who thought of that one. The MP was okay but i was so pissed at the other features i just stopped playing altogether.

Sonic Unleashed. a return to classic Sonic gameplay with some 3d elements thrown it. like a mix between secret rings and 2d sonic?? hell yes. then the werehog shows up. i knew it was too good to be true

Spore - I was so very hyped and oh boy did I end up disappointed. That game was not what was promised.

Super Paper Mario - Made me hate Nintendo for a while.

White Knight Chronicles - That's not what I expected from the amazing Level 5.

Borderlands - Simply hated the art style. Made me hate the whole game.

Sonic Chronicles. Honestly wth. You take one of my favorite gaming icons with my 2nd favorite style of games and you manage to make a shitty game? How did you manage to mess up such a easy cash in. This is my biggest let down this gen. This left such a sour taste that I will likly never try another Bioware game for a very long time if ever.

Madworld. I luckly just rented this one. Anyways, I was really into the artstyle and thought it would be a decent game to just let out some steam. Ya, within a hour or so I and my friend took it back to Family Video. Since we worked next door to it they gave us a refund.

Call Of Duty BLack Ops Wii. I guess I just went for the hype. I hadnt ever played a Call of Duty and im not a huge FPS fan. But, I figured wth GoldenEYE was awesome and so many people love the Call of Dutys that I might enjoy it. Well, for everything GoldenEye did great Black Ops did wrong. 

Honestly thats about it. I do pretty good between here and user reviews at not picking up games I will hate. 

Tomb Raider: Underworld - The Wii version was a total mess. There were tons of things missing and the glitches were a deal breaker. I was so hyped up for this game after playing Tomb Raider: Legend.

Dead Space: Extraction - I really wanted to like this game because it looked really promising. However, you're playing a rail shooter and a lot of the time you're hearing the characters talk andnot doing anything. It made it really hard to go back for a second playthrough.

WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 - I'm a huge fan of wrestling games and I got this game when I bought my Wii. The motion controls ruined it for me. They didn't work half the time and it was a pain to do them. Luckily they took motion controls out in the 2010 version.

@boutros  you hated Super paper Mario?? I thought that was supposed to be good, really i was going to get that cause i had never played one in the series. is it a platformer or RPG???

@pandora  i dont want to be a douch bag, but their was nothing about the TR underworld Wii edition that i thought it would be good. I dont even think it got any coverager prior to release and that is usually a really bad sign.

@games4fun. i like GE and BOs equally so im curious what did you not like about BOs??? Then again i never played the Wii version so maybe it runs like crap

How could i forget about Grand Theft Auto 4, its not a bad game by any stretch, but i found the story to be not all that. SPOILER ALERT!!!!! God damn Nico was supposed to be looking for the traitor, but you wouldnt think that the way  the game dragged on. it was mentioned in the beginning you do a bunch of crap that has absolutely nothing to do with that plot point, it seems like the writers had to remind themselves that that was a plot point thru in the gay guy about 70% in who might have been the traitor. Then when you do run into the traitor, its anti-climatic. and then RS decides to throw in a choice dynamic at the end of the game that acutally affects the story. Why the hell werent they doing this all the time?? it would have made the game much better and made up for the fact that i could no longer be a cabbie (im a Crazy Taxi fan sue me)

Well the I couldnt even play online the first couple weeks I had it. You had to make another profile and all to get it to work. I didnt know that at first. Some of the maps where not even up for choice for awhile. Everyone voted Nuketown over and over and over because you could vote for it a unlimited amount of times. Sure you could leave the lobby but it showed up so often......Some Spawns that would put you inside the enviroment. I did not care for the SP at all and the controls I found wonky. WHen it was trying to tell you how to use something it flashed to quickly. I didnt like having helpers in SP. I like Goldeneyes solo play. My favorite game mode in Goldeneye is Heroes. They just have very different feels and GoldenEYE is the one i like more. I also love using Wiimote in GoldenEye I cant stand it in Black Ops. I just can not find a setting that works for me in it. I do enjoy Knifing people in BLack OPs. That and  shotguns/CTF mode are about the only reason I like it at all.
