Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy IV help

I recently got a copy of Final Fantasy IV for the snes on ebay. I got 6 hours in and was just about to trade the crystal of earth with golbez. The next time i went to turn the snes on the screen came up red. I turned off the machine blew in the cart, put it back in, booted up and to my horror all the save data was gone

I've since noticed its available to buy on Wii's virtual console.  Wii save files are very easy to share so I was wondering if anyone out there has a save file anywhere near where I was in the game.

I know 6 hours might not seem to long to a lot of you but im not the sort of person to play games like this through twice.

I know of a website called wiisave that shares save files but they dont have any for FFIV.

Can anyone help?

You should just DL a rom and emulator, you can probably find various save games at different stages of the game.

Because, you know, that's not illegal at all :P

Im not a fan of emulation (just doesnt feel the same for me) but at least I can now carry on from where I was. As luck would have it one of the saves on this site was at the exact same point I was at

Exactly, he paid for an actual copy of the game, so I see no problem with someone having a rom of the game as well. If you pay for it, I believe you should be able to download it as many times as you want.
