cd key is great and legitimate.

accounts are enoying... don't want to have a log on for every game....

steam is ok as it's also a service.... but at it's start it was a pain...

Yes, years ago I tried it because they started releasing the latest HL patches exclusively through it and it was so horrible I uninstalled it and never tried it again after I completed HL, Opposing Force and Blue Shift. I could never join an online match of Counter-Strike, it often hanged, it took forever to update itself and it slowed my PC. I know that now it's a lot better and I give it due credits for this and wish it good luck for being a good and welcome alternative to its competitors, but I still got to persuade myself to give it another try, in the meantime I picked from my backlog games that didn't need it.

just log on for steam sales.... you'll understand why many overlook the burden that it is ^^ (there is one for every major holiday period)

I chose good old cd key and disk check.....

Arent Steam and Blizzard the same? Both attach a key permanently to a user. Games like Team Fortress 2 allow only one user set of stats(if my buddy wants to play he cant have his own character with his own stats)

All other forms of DRM are the complete shits. Anything that requires internet connection or drops the resale value of a game to  $0 is no good.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

No drm is the only answer. I had to quit pc gaming because i dont trust what the drm is doing to my computer. Although I am getting the witcher 2 because its drm free.

Also, since every drm has been cracked why do they even bother with it?

Your last paragraph is a bit confusing. I take it you don't like Steam or Battle.net either because, well, that do exactly what you hate (require at least initial online activation, resale value = 0).

The middle paragraph is a question, cause I dont understand why there are 2 poll choices for essentially the same thing. I dont like Steam, batlle net, GFWL ect. I dont mind throwing $1-$5 on a full game through steam during their insane sales, but to drop $50-$60 on a content liscense. Even games like Civ 5, Black ops, Starcraft 2(part 1 of 3)ect are worth no more than $10 to me if I dont own the game. Crazy enough I almost never sell games(I do sell rares if I dont want them), but when I get bored with one or hate a game I will usually give it away to a friend.

Same here. I would never in hell pay the full price for a game on steam.

Even if it doesn't run without Steam like Modern Warfare 2, I'd much rather get the boxed version (which I did).
And I've never sold a game either. Downloadable games are simply worthless for collectors like me, since the service will be obsolete sooner or later.

Besides I always get the feeling that I'm paying for a pirated version when I buy something off Steam.

What, I'm not alone here? Because I don't think I'm ever going to pay more than 20€ for a game whose retail version requires Steam (and especially if they market the game as 'supporting Steamworks'), and even that 20€ would require a ridiculously good game I don't think even exists at the moment. I might just pay 15€ for Total War: Shogun 2 if I can ever get the retail version with all DLC included at that price - provided I have the money of course.

No DRM.

It's rediculus I have to worry about all this bullshit when i payed for the game instead of torrenting it.

You're confusing DRM and bad DRM.

Blizzard's is nice, but it can still be a hassle since you still have to input a key.  Personally, I prefer Steam since I never have to input a key and I move from computer to computer with no hassle.

Steam is also extremly restrictive DRM system but at least if you are paying 5-10 euros per game it won't hurt badly if you lose access to it.

I'm confused, how is Steam restrictive?

Must be logged in to play games, at least initial online activation, can't resell games. I think that's the most important parts.
