Consumerism is up again in USA? I would love to see the details in the coming quarter about consumer reports. Typically I don't follow USA consumer reports, but if something is up, something is up.
NPD does have explaining to do, but I think NPD usually is line with organizational numbers, since organizations use them to showcase data.

XBox360 undertracked ~59,000 units
Nintendo Wii undertracked ~151,000 units
Playstation 3 undertracked ~122,000 units
360 averaged 136.25k per week.
Wii averaged 113.5k per week.
PS3 averaged 112.5k per week.
Big difference from what VGChartz has shown. O_o
