Holy cow farm!
Wii will be close next week with the raincheck program numbers coming in though. I think DS can do 2 million in one week if it's not supply constraint, and that could become a real possibility now it's selling faster than ever.
Amazing . Even though I dont own one , I am really impressed . Nintendo really know how to milk the market :P

Demand for the DS wasn't as strong in its first year as the Wii is right now, and the Wii is gaining more demand as time goes on (Wii fit for example)

Better milking it than trying to get a foothold in it without even making profit! 
Yeah, I wouldn't call it milking.. They just put the units out there and people are buying them. And they make a healthy profit while doing so. 
2008 Predictions:
The best games get you the best sales... The DS has a great line up. Why would that be considered milking people?

Fixed.
The Wii could easily do 2.5x what it is doing now (worldwide). It may no sustain as long as the DS - but the demand is there!
