My life is like a battleground. By this, I mean there is always an ongoing war between owners of various consoles, and facts can suddenly seem confusing when everyone is questioning them. I've got a friendship-group that I'm trying to convince that the 3DS is awesome. The only problem is that I'm outnumbered around 3:1, and I have nothing to back up my points with. You know how hard it is to convince someone who doesn't want to listen, right? That's why I need your help. Below are a list of genuine quotations that I've had to defend myself against in the last week or so - relating both to the games and the sales potential of the 3DS. I've managed to hold my ground so far, but it's getting more difficult by the minute. How can I respond to these statements?

"PSP looks much better [graphically] than 3DS"

"3DS is for casuals; like the DS"

"Pilotwings is a minigame"

"The 3DS line-up is almost completely made up of remakes"

"Steel Diver is a tech demo, and a bad one at that"

"3D is a gimmick, and will fail like 3DTV"

That's all I've got so far, but if I get hit by more, I'll report them here. Thanks for the assistance, comrades.

Wait how can they NGP fanboys, which usually means they are offshoot of Sony Fanboys: if they say 3DTV failed.....Your friends fail! Honestly speaking no point in convincing people to change or open their minds, if they are ignorant, let them be, if you start telling them otherwise, they will just show anger and hopefully when they grow up to be adults, they will be more open to do things. 

Also I do use the word fanboys, because a sony fan wouldn't insult DS or 3DS like that.

Edit: Just accept you will have tastes different to others. I don't like Apple, and everyone seems to love it. I don't try to change their opinions, I accept that they like products that I don't. 

PS: The first statement, while is meant to be used as ammo is actually correct. NGP is graphically superior to the 3DS.

Actually, they are Ex-Nintendo fanboys, but were converted by the 360. They own DSes, but are not keen on the 3DS. They admit that they'll probably buy one eventually.

Here is the easiest argument to win (BTW): 3D is a gimmick like touchscreen was a gimmick, and funny how that is considered a norm on handheld devices. 

Edit: Radishhead, if they think PSP is graphically superior to the 3DS.....well they are lost cause to begin with, since they have no idea how 3DS works.

Why do you still consider them your friends? :P ... I say dump them!

They're awesome really; they just don't like Nintendo very much. I used to be one of many, but I'm one of very few  Nintendo loyalists in the area.

A twist in the tale: Only one of them actually owns a PSP - they also dislike the PS3 greatly.
