Here is what I think they need at E3 to keep Wii momentum:

- More games! Particularly bridge titles that appeal to a wide audience: NSMB 2 (a brand new 2D Mario. If NSMB, which is esentially a rehash, could sell 20 million, think of the potential of a brand new 2D Mario game, equivilant to Mario 3 with new worlds, can do!) a new entry for the "Wii" Series, that Kirby game, Pikmin 3, F-Zero, Star Fox, etc.

- Vitality Sensor and Wii Relax reveal. I don't think many people recognise the massive potential for a stress relieving game, especially in our modern stressful society. Just like Nintendo needs to keep making old school type games, they should not forget that part of what made Wii a hit was making new gaming experiences for new audiences. Vitality Sensor could be the next new thing.

- Localizations of Zangeki (to help promote Motion plus in the West), and ToG, Last Story, as well as DQX reveal

- Other Motion Plus games to show Nintendo is indeed serious about the device

- Possible Wii price drop of $50.

For 3DS:

- Mario Kart, Mario 3DS, new 2D Mario, Star Fox, Brain Age 3D, Smash Bros (?), some more 3rd party software

In reality, we'll probably see less than half of what I said. But I can dream :P

I'de hate to see a new console, they said wii hasn't reached it's limits and expect some suprises they said, so we will see more software announced for Wii for sure like F-zero, DKCR2 or pikmin 3.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

new pokemn on 3ds in two years. but this time will be in 3d instead of 2d.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Nintendo buys out Sony. =D

Maybe Starfox Wii?

The announcement that they will discontinue the Wii by year's end.

It would make more sense if they just discontinued it at the time of the announcement, this way those who would rush to get one will be severly frustrated.

Above: still the best game of the year.

Obviously Tingle RPG Wii.

I voted for F-Zero, Pikmin, and others. I think we have a better chance of seeing more games than new software. I think Pikmin 3 needs to be mention between now and E3, nothing been said about Pikmin 3 in a long time.

Many people here are setting themselves up for a big disappointment. Don't do that.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Few ideas some of which have already been said:

  • Wii Slim based on the concept of portability.
  • an AAA Pokemon game for Wii
  • Mario Plane: Mario Kart with airplanes quite like the plane races of Diddy Kong Racing. Requires Motion Plus and plays just like the Air Plane in WSR.
  • Wii Music 2/
  • Pikmin 3 Wii
  • The new Miyamoto IP

Much lower probability :

  • A new Mario Sports Mix game with Golf, Tennis, Soccer and Baseball
  • A Starfox game by Retro. Action game with dogfight section of course but also TPS and light-sabers parts.
  • Would have loved a Pilotwings game for Wii using the balance board but I guess this won't happen now...

For 3DS (not a lot: many games are already announced):

  • Vitality Sensor is eventually a 3DS application. Makes more sense imo to use this concept with a handheld.
  • If we are lucky: F-Zero
