Forums - Sony - Dragon Age II producer says "there is a place" for Move in RPGs

If they implemented Move gimmicks in a Dragon Age type game, I'd never buy a Bioware title again in my life. They have fallen far enough as it is. Something like Move really has no place in a game like this.

god, I get headaches when I see people crying over having more options in a game (be it 3D or Move or whatever) - stop giving me a freaking migraine

They could implement it like a mouse in PC version of dragon Age....would you still lose faith in them if they do that?

I wanted them to implement move because RUSE does it really well, and a srpg like DA could have benefited from it.

this right here, to my knowledge no one has done this sort of interface on the wii or move yet and i can't understand why.  it could really streamline the interface compared the a dualshock type controls for a lot of games and yet no one even tries...

Good news for Move, as any support is welcome, and it could show possible ways to use it in full fledged RPGs, but said by those that just watered down their creature, it shouldn't add much more than Sorcery regarding game depth...

Hopefully they'll use MOVE in the future. Implemented in the right way MOVE creates a much more interactive gaming experience.

keep your waggle out of my rgp! All i can see if they do this is a more simplified rpg.

I would never use the Move for a Dragon Age game.

then your silly quite a few people has played on gladiators on sports champions and just imagine sword control like that in any rpg seriously!!!

as for kinect yes only using it as a slow way of arranging your spells would be appropriate

I have the move and sports champions, but I don't want Dragon Age to be that kind of game. Why would I want to continuously swing my arms around to attack? I like to play Dragon Age for the strategic gameplay, I don't want a wiggle game. Dragon Age isn't a move game, it is a solid RPG. If I want to use the move I will play Sorcery when it comes out (Which I plan on getting).

Precisely. I'm glad someone else sees this. The last thing we need is for the RPG genre to become even dumber.

Lafiel; more options? I'm talking about making this kind of gimmick the standard interface and control in such games. Options are fine but gimmicks for a gimmicks sake is not imo.I never whined over 3D either, I just understand why people want motion and waggle on every single game in every single genre when it clearly does not have that broad of an appeal as a controller.

Exactly, and it gets people who are on the edge of buying the device (ME) consider it more.
