The logic is quite strong here

What do zombies want?

Brains.

Now how in the hell are we gonna get brains from 3rd parties, outside of occasional smart moves like Epic Mickey or Monster Hunter Tri?

Buying the PS3 awesome console.

So that we can then infect that console and also make it a software wasteland?

Brilliant.

He said third parties don't have brains to make great games, I say he only needs to go to an awesome system like the PS3 to see great third parties masterpieces (without counting the unrivaled first party). Nintendo supporters in the PS3 front won't infect anything there. :P

Yeah, current Nintendo followers citing Wii Party to defend their appreciation of zombies, instead of mentioning the awesome Zombies Ate My Neighbors... yeah, that is how sad the situation has gotten.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Around the Network

3rd parties did it to themselves. For the first 2 years, anything that wasn't made by Nintendo had over a 95% chance fo being a dud. If you just went by covers, like most casuals, you would have been burned at least once. Sticking with Nintendo was the only way casuals could prevent themselves from buying a coaster in a fancy box. It's quite an unfortunate circumstance. The reason why Just Dance sold so much is only because of word-of-mouth. That's part of the reason the game has such long legs compared to others.

This happens because Nintendo keep doing the same games toward the same audience. Wii audience now is pretty much the same N64 and GCN audience from before, the same Mario and Zelda fanboys. The difference now is that Nintendo managed to get the new "casual" audience with games like Wii ___ and Just Dance kind.

To change this, Nintendo needs a new direction and change it's audience.

I don't think that is accurate at all. Most Wii owners I know never had a Nintendo home console before, but did have a  Nintendo GBA and/or DS and were often fans of Nintendo 16-bit and 8-bit titles through remakes and emulators. I actually do not know a single person who owned Wii as their first console ever.

Also, a lot of WIi owners I know also had Sony or Sega home consoles as well; but then again, I can tell you that when I went to University, no one owned a Gamecube.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I got Bit trap beat a few years ago and download the demo for runner didn't like runner and beat was favourite wiiware title, but stuff like Mix Superstar was just a ripoff, having to use a PC to get the saved music files, shame the programers can't do better on wiiware.

Lord knows I can't argue that the WiiWare service is 99% garbage, but there's some true gems in it as well.  Have you tried Fluidity or Lost Winds 2, for example?

Maybe when third parties kept releasing half assed ports and party games in the beginning of the generation, people just decided to go with Nintendo games.
