I actually wouldn't be surprised if my mom did this.  Back when I got a PS2 she put it into a HUGE box and filled it with bubble wrap.  That was a good surprise though, a rain check....not so much

Speaking of Wiis, there's a bundle available in my local store. $399, wii play, nunchuk, mario galaxy and Wii. It's like a $10 savings.
