Forums - Sony - Vagrant Story hitting US PSN this week

According to the PlayStation Blog, Square Enix's PSone classic Vagrant Story is hitting the PSone Classics line this week. Vagrant Story follows the story of Ashley Riot, a member of a group called the Riskbreakers and features a unique 3D battle system. The title was directed by Yasumi Matsuno, known as the mind behind Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy XII, and Final Fantasy Tactics.

While the title will see release on Tuesday, the blog entry does not list a price point for the game - it will likely be priced at either $5.99 or $9.99, the standard price points for PSone Classics. Keep your eyes peeled to RPGFan for a review of this epic re-release!

$5.99 for VS is a steal! This is one of the best RPGs I've played. If you haven't played it, you should definitely check it out. Be warned: it has a steep learning curve.

Good news for fans, but seriously sony and konami...just release suikoden 2.

Between this and last weeks xenogears release. It's gonna be a busy march.

A warrior keeps death on the mind from the moment of their first breath to the moment of their last.

This is what... almost a year and a half since I posted the article about it releasing in EU?

Haha. Good news if true anyway.

About time they got on releasing the games already available on other region's stores.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

this...even used copies prices are freakin ridiculous. but anyway, yeah! will buy it, it will most likely be $9.99, all of S-E PS1 classics titles have started at that price

AMAZING.

This is one of those games that's best left to its mythical status.  I'm going to go ahead and say don't buy this game.  Young(er) d21 lewis marveled at the graphics and the characters in this game but I can't recall a more frustrating game.  I made it to the end credits but I think it took YEARS off of my life.  Just think of this game as an awesome, legendary Square game and don't play it.  It'll tarnish your expectations.

its true that time hasn't been kind graphicwise, but this game still ROCKS!! if you can look past the dated graphics, the gameplay, story and shear awsomeness of this game is ageless! to me, this game, together with xenogears was, is and will always be two of the greatest games EVER!!! the one and only negative thing i have for vagrant story is that you can see ashley's (was that the main characters name? not sure, but i think it is...) butt cheeks LOL!

i remember almost breaking my hands punching the controller due to shear frustration! LOL! This is one of those games that i prayed for a sequel..sadly it never happend. (though xenogears got a prequal, three infact, it sucked balls compared to xenogears)

Do americans also get half price off coupon for Vagrant Story when buying Tactics Ogre?
