If it gets outsold for the entire year otherwise, it really won't matter in the totals. It was supposed to have a flat year in 2010 according to everyone and their grandmothers and ended up around one million above my much flogged 17 million prediction.

Like I said; winning the holidays might not net you the overall win for an entire year. The fact that it is becoming nearly irrelevant in Japan won't be of much help either.

And the year hasn't ended. So we don't know any strategies that the companies have. Is doing very good against redesigns, new controllers and lot of quality games. We don't know what could be annunced tomorrow, in two weeks, or any day along the year.

3DS will steamroll everything in its path.

But I hope PSP2 can put up some fighting so Nintendo get some pressure and don't slack off on their 3DS front.

The difference here is, it took until Fall for the PS3 and 360 to regularly outsell the Wii last Year.

This Year, they started doing it in January.

Anyway my overall point is, don't bitch and whine about other peoples predictions if you don't have the balls to make your own.

Japan:  3DS > PSP > DS > Wii > PS3 > NGP > 360

USA: 3DS > 360 > Wii > DS > PS3 > PSP

Earth: 3DS > Wii > 360 > DS > PS3 > PSP > NGP

This year NGP has basically no chance... it's going to release only in Japan and probably in December.  We'll see how things shake out next year though.

NGP will launch very late and will have the same issue that 3DS has
