I'm beginning to get alittle scared for my Wii. The last few years its been making aloud buzzing noise but its still working then two days ago it started doing something freaky. Its turning itself on, two days ago I came home after being gone a couple days and freaked the Wii was on. I balled my dad out for turning it on and he said he never did he was like "You must have left it on.

I tried thinking if I left it on 2 days prior. I freaked turned it off and went about my buisness. Later that day I went in the living room and guess what it was on again. I freaked at my dad who again said he didn't turn it on. I was puzzled and turned it off.

Then I was watching a movie on my PS3 and in the middle of the movie I hear my Wii fire up. Nobody touched the controllers nobody pressed the button. I right aways turned it off. Then this morning when I got up guess what the Wii was on again.

I'm worried its going to turn itself on a over heat or burn out. I don't have the like 85$ to send it to Nintendo for repairs. Anybody else ever had the problem of your Wii turning itself on? Luckily it hasn't turned itself on since last night. I don't know what I can do other then keep turning the thing off.

Yup, and I've heard my Wii buzz like a chainsaw, refuse to accept my my controllers, and freeze at the same parts at some games. I'm surprised mine isn't dead yet, even the sensor bar is falling apart.

It may be a couple of spirits...

Your Wii is possessed, it's the only logical answer.

Avoid dust and clean the wii lens with lens cleaner and maybe put it on it's side rather than upright

I wonder if it's the Wii Connect 24?  Anyways, if you want to make sure that it doesn't turn on then you can just unplug it from the outlet.

Of course if the Wii turns itself on even when it's unplugged then he can be really worried lol.
