The Playstation 3 does not dominate by gaining an extra 3% (it was at around 16.5% for the longest time), not 2%, market share, but if it keeps on stealing market share from the Xbox 360 the current rate, it could defeat the Xbox 360 in due time. It appears that the Playstation 3 saw a bigger improvement in sales, from the holidays, than the Wii, and Xbox 360, but apparently, this is only because of the Playstation 3's recent price cut. I don't know. Maybe, or maybe it's because the Playstation 3 has been getting far better titles, I do not know. The Playstation 3 is still my least favorite console of this generation, but like I said before, I like "all" consoles. All of them. Even the Atari 5200. Even the 3D0. Even the Gizmondo! Why? Well, for one thing, they are all marvels of technology, and not a single person in this website, especially alone, could even make a console as grand as any console that exists! And for crying out loud, just because I support the Playstation 3 in "one" thread, does not make me a fan boy... Believe me... If you've counted all the threads I have made in the past, bashing the Playstation 3, than you would know. But, the truth is, the Playstation 3 is the most advanced console in the world, and that alone makes it a worthy competitor, this generation, even if 100% of its power cannot be used.

 Yeah , but the fact that the PS3 can still get market share with its high price and weaker gamelineup its still amazing . The Wii has a 250 $ price , while the cheapest PS3 is 400 $ , and the 360 had its biggest game allready released , while the PS3 had only a couple of good ones out .... so yeah , we have all rights to make threads like : Sony is back baby ...

Sony wont be back till it's number one holding 50%+ of the market share, which wont happen. 

I don't think people realise its XMAS time... as soon as its over they sales will go back to normal, and the ps3 WONT outsell the 360 WW in 2008, i couldn't care what you say Crazzyman, every one of your posts is POX and they annoy me with your ignorance.

 So the PS3 will drop in sales but the 360 wont ... nice theory youve got there , the only problem is that its no good . Sorry for having to tell you this ...

People also seem to forget that the PS3 is being bought in many cases as a Blu-Ray player which is a sale made more commonly during holidays. The 360 will most likely also have stronger legs than the PS3 due to its game library's appeal as well.

Right now the PS3's only hope is Europe and Japan.

I never said that the PS3 wont sell well, i said sales like this won't continue sales like this are only like this because of the holiday season, dont get me wrong, the ps3 will sell well, but not enough to pass the 360 WW... PS3 fanboys get their hopes up too high.
