I don't actually get many of the complaints about the story. I find it to be quite interesting (albeit not the best I've seen - but what's there is sufficient and better than MANY of the other stories out there). Still some of the edges are little rough, but with the amount of love and polish that's excruciatingly obvious in this game, I'm happy with the package Guerrilla has provided, as there isn't another console that's given quite this intense, graphically unrivaled, or relentless of an experience!

Given the multiplayer (which is fantastic), Move, 3D, & split-screen, I would give it an excellent 9.3/10!

My problem with the story is its pretty much non existant, even for a FPS its shallow.  For the first four levels here is the entire plot of the game.  Vissari is dead and now theres two highly powerful guys near the top who don't like each other.  They argue.  Now it flashes to the ISA guys and Rico is tough and a rebel and he don't follow orders.  Him and their field commander argue.  Then back to the two Helghast guys who argue some more, and then back to Rico who doesn't take orders and argues again and then start the next mission.  Its just incredibly shallowly told.  Like I said great setting, great potential, but the actual execution of the story isn't horrible per say as much as it just not there in the first place.

That being said the game is awesome and at this point its looking like a 9.0 to 9.1 to me.

Exactly why this will never be a "Halo Killer," sorry but seems pretty average in terms of gameplay and an incredibly weak story makes this about a 7.5 to me.

You'd need to play it before making that call.

I've played about 4 hours of the campaign at my buds house, seriously was not impressed. Sure the graphics are outstanding and it does feel like they finally got the controls right, but just a horrible storyline with little to no character development or emotion for any character. Also, that cut the black shit is the most annoying thing I have ever encountered in an FPS.

Have not played Bulletstorm yet, but it sounds like something fresh and new so I dunno.

Anyone know if KZ3 has local competetive multiplayer. Meaning I can play AGAINST a friend splitscreen.

Or if it has Botzone splitscreen

it has botzone and its a blast but I haven't tried to do Splitscreen local multiplayer so I'm not sure.  Probably does though since it has same screen co-op campaign.

Hold on...you CAN play botzone local split screen with a friend? From what I've seen on the internet, I thought people were saying that's not an option...

No i'm not saying you can play botzone local splitscreen with a friend.  I don't know if it does or not because I've never tried I've just played Botzone by myself and its a blast, I was just saying you would think it would since it has split screen co-op campaign.  Thats really lame though if it doesn't have splitscreen botzone.

Played for a few hours last night and am pretty engaged by the story. Don't see what the issue is. The story is pretty damn engaging. Love the variety of gameplay... hell I love the whole thing. Woohoo.

Only going to be able to get Bulletstorm on Friday (I live in South Africa).

Well I just finished the campaign. I really enjoyed the game overall but I am slightly disappointed with the ending. That wasn't even really a final boss and the ending itself is the biggest fuckin cliff hanger of all time. Who is it? I WANA KNOW!!!!!!!!

Definitely lame. I think it's true though.

Way back when the game modes were announced, I was irritated bc I thought GG was going to try to load a bunch of different modes into this game to try to pull in as many ppl as possible. But they really didn't seem to add all that many modes since KZ2. One of the funnest things when you have a friend over is to be able to play a game together, but it seems GG made that possible with the campaign only.

What GG does have in the game in regards to multiplayer is quality from what I hear; but, I think they need to rethink their strategy in regards to the QUANTITY of multiplayer and especially co-op and split-screen modes/options if they really want to start pulling in more fans. Like someone else said, I think they maybe tried to rush the game a little. But next time, I think if they want to attract a lot more fans, they really need to just load the game with a bunch of different game modes. I really want Sony to find their "Halo" fps game (not meaning a Halo copy, just mean in terms of sales) that sells boatloads and brings in lots of new fans to the ps3. I think GG can make that game, they just have to strive a little higher and provide more bang for the multiplayer buck.

Straight to the highest difficulty is the best way IMO. Makes the game not only last longer but also makes it funner. ^^

You're (almost always) so right. Killzone 3 is...perfect.

Do you listen to deadmau5 or you just thought the pic was cool?

Figured I would ask. He is the sh-t. I spin tracks of his in my sets a lot, not only that but his shows are awesome.

If you ask me the gameplay and story of the Killzone games (barring part 1) is better than the halo games.

He will never know.

hey... you are the guy with a 3D TV... did you play it in 3D? can you share with us, how good is it?

@ everyone else... is no word on move (with or without sharp shooter) controls for this game? i am very curious to see if works and if its fun!
