Evidentally the same thing that happened to all the features remaining the same for regular users...he changed his mind without saying anything. Regardless of whether or not the info is free on this site its still bad business to tell your consumers one thing and do another. And without any form of announcement at that, expect for a random post buried in this thread somewhere. All I know is when pro was announced it was clearly stated nothing would be taken from non pro users and that pro would strictly be newly added features. Im guessing there wasnt enough to add to make it worth a subscription so free features were taken away to make it look like pro members are gaining something when in reality they are paying thousands of dollars for info that has been free....seems like a pretty high price jump!

i'm tired of site changes just happening and spending my time looking for things that have gone missing without any warning.  ...and a post from brett buried in threads others started to question what is going on don't count.  just make an announcement thread and let us know what you are doing.  it's simple customer service and it keeps your customers from being angry at you.

There's no problem.

You stil get the hardware sales, so point 1 is covered.

You still get the software sales of all individual games. Or well, the difference every 4 weeks, which is exactly what you need for the thread. (It might end up being different weeks than you originally intended, but that's acceptable).

You still have the data needed for nearly all, if not all, of the "custom predictions" other people have made, too.

There's really no problem.

If you're talking abouth the graphic sales, you can zoom it to show weekly sales as well.

Well, this site is now essentially useless to me. The only reason I come here is to see the detailed, weekly numbers. I like to sort by publisher and by platform and comb through the entire top 200 for each region and analyze things for myself.

If I can no longer do that, this site no longer serves any purpose to me.

Then don't come here any more...it still has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more data available for free than any other website you'll find.

ok,let's start

this  site is biggest joke ever on internet!

1st:it shows fake numbers(they still didn't adjust ps3 sales)

2nd now i need to pay for fake numbers?? lololol

i have soultion:

someone will buy this pro stupid thing and it will post numbers on forum,or he can post on some other site!

vg you suck,this site gonna die(i hope)

Well being a member for a long time and being a part of those few who did use the site to look at sale in-depth, I will miss those features.  But I'm not a professional at all and even though I would use it to analyse and discuss future industry success, I still don't use it for financial gain or anything that matters haha.  Free was free and it is hard to complain about that haha.  I'll miss it, but still get quite a bit of data for free so once again... hard to complain about free. 

Hope this move works for ya Brett.  Stuck with this site for a long time and I'll continue to do it.  Can't wait to see where VGC goes from here.

Seems like a bad move to me. There will be less and less people (including me) coming to this site due to this change and this will directly affect advertising revenues. Plus I don't see any serious company paying thousand of dollars a year for information they already have in their internal reports.

Oh and the missing data will probably appears on others video games sites.

Yeah this is a really bad move...
