TERRIBLE PREDICTION FOR WII.

ANOTHER BAD PREDICTION BUT NOT TERRIBLE LIKE WII ONE.

Now I'm very interested in how Sony shipment will look like.

On one side they said over 50 milions sold but this doesn't compute with the number of sell trough we have on VGC after adjustments.

Much like Nintendo though, a lot some sold in Q1 COULD have been stock from Q4. Or, they roughly shipped what they sold, or they shipped 2.8

4 weeks to find out I guess.

Well Sony said the hit 50 million with a couple of days left.  On average for a 2.5 million quarter they ship about 25K per day.  So I wouldnt expect they shipped 2.8M when they were at about 2.1M to hit the 50 million mark.

Well, I think people are noticing Sony said REACHED 50, rather than like MS saying more than 50

But I don't want Emothaz to have a heart attack, so I'll add that it could well be 2.8 they shipped ...

I know it could be over 50M, but it will be slightly. MS was doing everything they could to fill Christmas demand so they didnt know exactly how many they got out before 1/1/2011.  End of March things arent quite so frantic, so sure some more did get shipped, but not 100s of thousands.

Looking back, it's interesting to see just how much money Sony lost with the PS3, and Microsoft for that matter (though I believe Microsoft has pretty much broken even?)

Also, it goes to show how dominant Nintendo were this gen with two almighty consoles- DS and Wii. They seem to have made more money in '09 than Sony and Microsoft have made in their entire gaming history put together! But it seems to be tending in favour of the 360 ATM. Whilst the PS3 is selling the most, it doesn't mean it's that profitable, and with other issues like PSN, they're still making a loss...

But, once again, nice job Seece!

Wii and PS2 being so close is kinda funny. PS2 just doesn't want to die <3
