ive always been an jrpg fan, but for the past few months ive been playing more hack n slash and platformers and heavy rain (you really cant put that masterpiece in any current gaming genre in my humble opinion).  now its time to get back to my roots.  which of the following should i get first:

resonance of fate

valkyria chronicles

star ocean the last hope

eternal sonata

white knight chronicles

i plan on getting all of these eventually but which should i get first.  Im leaning towards resonance of fate right now.  if there are some other jrpgs out there for the ps3 that i should get let me know.  right now the only one i have for my ps3 is ff13.  thanks in advance for suggestions.

Valkyria Chronicles is really the only good one you listed. 

If I were to order those based on experience with 4 of them and reading our review for SO4 I would rank them:

Valkyria

SO4

Resonance of Fate

White Knight Chronicles

Eternal Sonata

If you have an iron will it's best to play the worst you choose to pick up first, otherwise just go and get Valkyria.

last hope and white knight are time drains to complete the extras

Get Star Ocean 4 and Valkyria Chronicles at the same time. You can't go wrong there.

Out of all those, I'd go with Valkyria Chronicles for sure. Gameplay is damn near perfect imo with a brilliant RPG/strategy/shooter mix. Incredible game!

Valkyria Chronicles first.

Then spend the extra $10 and buy Eternal Sonata.

I would get star ocean since it's real time so it would be somewhat close to those hack&slash type of games your were playing beforehand

resonace of fate is decent but IMO it has a steep learning curve, if you get it I suggest doing the tutorials first.

Skip white knight chronicles the second one apparently comes with the first game in it
