@lordtheknight  Final Fantasy is one game, and we all know that sold on its name. PS3 version did much better(not counting Japan numbers).  Theres a slew of JRPGS on 360 and you know it. MS was securing a bunch of them at the beginning of the gen to try and sway japan audience, it was a valiant effort but it didnt work.

@Mad55 most of those cases the PS3 games are late ports, late ports dont usually sell better than the original no matter what the genre or system. i was reffering to Tales of Vesperia really, that game only did a quarter mil in US, that crap #s considering Tales of symphonia on GC did better than that, and had a much weaker install base.

I was stating if there was more, not there there were barely any (or if I did, it was accidental). The DS and PSP have the lion's share of those.

But you made the claim that they don't sell well, and that was what I was calling on. JRPGs weren't known for being multi million sellers even in the last two generations, so the games on the 360 are selling about as well as they do on systems with a greater amount.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

ToV only did 144k in NPD. Still the 2nd best selling Tales in the US lol. DotNW closely follows.

but vhchartz has it at what 260,000 and i notice it still gets updatedapparentaly it sold 2,000 copies last week.

VGC has overtracked a bunch of RPGs...wouldn't be a first. There's too big of a discrepancy between VGC and NPD.

idk about this case theyll have to fix it for me to believe that. and how resent are those npd numers?

I don't think it's fair to compare ToV sales in NA solely to ToS, you have to compare it to the entire franchise.  ToS was a fluke in the Tales of world and shouldn't be used as a barometer for success in the series.

@Mad, I am curious what examples you have of a JRPG that released the same day on both consoles doing better on 360.  I might agree with you if you meant that JRPG's have comparable sales in the West, but the idea that the 360 can do better at selling JRPGs has no foundation if you choose fair comparisons.

knaw man lol i wasnt doin fair comparison im comparing late ports and everything.

If they only release the PS3 port of this game in the west but refuse to release the game on its original platform it would be a slap in the face of western Wii only gamers.

I really hope it comes to both systems. If not, I won't buy it (even though I have a PS3).

Why nobody here considers a Xbox360 port? ...

Because nobody wants a 360 version.

The BuShA owns all!

Even though I own a PS3, I will be highly disapointed is a Wii version isn't localised

Come on guys, hope for ToGF on Wii and PS3.

I think there's plenty of "hope" in this thread now

You should've put in a poll to see where people want it to go. That way, you could gauge better the public's opinions. Just a thought...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It would be plain idiotic to disrespect Nintendo's loyalists. Let's hope Namco doesn't do that.

Oh, yeah. And this:

NGP!
