Got my first online game eventually and im loving it, should be a first day buy. If the connection issues are fixed it will be a solid multiplayer.

I didn't like the demo much. It seems too chaotic and clustered (at least in Warzone mode) and the controls are still difficult for me to manage! It was fun a first, but everything seemed to get extremely repetitive after a while, and I found myself getting frustrated more than I do in other shooters. The graphics are brilliant though, so are the animations. I unfortunately think (imo of course) that KZ3 will suffer the same fate as KZ2 where people will play it and enjoy it for a month and then get bored of it and move back to other shooters. I really hope that isn't the case, but currently I'm a bit underwhelmed and unimpressed by the beta.
| evolution_1ne said: a non stupid idea GG could have done with the spawns. keep the fixed spawn ares as a primary spawning method, and kept the spawn nades for "precision spawning", it makes it so that if one team just so happens to own all fixed areas which happens more often than not say to...oh I don't know absolute shit map design, the other team doesn't have to worry about being spawn raped, because they have no way out of their spawn. and to balance the nades have on the map only visible by tacticians areas where you could and couldn't put the spawn points, like the assassination areas except away from objectives. but alas, GG is more into destroying all that killzone a unique experience, they're more likely to add killstreak rewards, and more perks |
i only play operations and warzone but the spawns are good. i never got spaw trapped. a team has never all areas of a map. first of all the map is to big and 12 players on a team cant take all of it. second of all the action tends to get consetrated on one place you wont have people all over the map(unless theyr noobs).
the game has a sense of killstrea rewards, well theyr perks, but considering people get them by getting 1 or 2 kills then its nothing really.

I fucking love Operations. They need to enable squad spawn, fix the spawn camping, and balance some weapons. But other than that, so rewarding to see team behavior rewarded with cut scenes.
Warzone is crippled by people who want to play death match. Maps are too big for death match and the player count. Operations suffers a bit from camping, and I could see it becoming crippled once players get used to the maps and strategy, and exploit it through camping.

controls are very easy to manage. ive your having troubles lower the sensivity. its a shooter everything is repetitive. operations is also clustered buts thats the good thing about it(well in one area). people are still playing kz2 people wont get bored from it. what were you expecting from the beta? its a multiplayer beta with 1 map, and from what weve seen its not even the best map.

their isnt any spawn camping in operations thats the good thing about it. if your playing helghast then you could see an enemy 2-3 seconds after you spawn but thats adds to the feeling that you have to do something fan. i have never been killed when i spawned.
what do you mean crippled by people who want to play death match? do you mean that peope go for the kills and not for the objective? maps arent to big theyr fine, one could thng about warzone is that it makes you go to each part of the map.
how cant you expect camping in operations? if it was tdm then ide understand but the helghast have to hold down areas and in some cases the isa have to hold areas. its not going to get crippled when your entering an area that you have to capture your going to expect enemies and your going to go in first with a grenade. also knowing the map and the stategy has to do with going for the objective, for the isa that means rushing, so if the helghast camped they would get hit and loose.

Okay so far it's decent, but I'm not liking it as much as Killzone 2. Perhaps it's the things they changed that tried to make it more like Call of Duty which are off putting for me?
- Health and sprint: The reduced health and sprint is frustrating. Frankly, I liked the partial regenerating health and blood bag med packs in Killzone 2 more than this junk.
- Weapons: They've added more weapons, sure, but I don't care for amost every weapon having burst. I usually tap the fire button to do bursts on my own or to shoot one or two shots at a time. Unless I'm mistaken, it would be nice if you could get more weapons per class. I'd much rather have a full-auto normal Helghast/ISA assault rifle than the three round burst and silenced version other classes get. Speaking of which, why does the sniper class get the full-auto Helghast assault rifle?
- Brutal Melee: While it looks cool in singleplayer, this seems rather gimicky in multiplayer. I had a game where there were three or four brutal melee's in a row with the next person killing the previous. While melee in Killzone 2 was hit or miss, brutal melee instant kills are an overused feature. At least give it a certain chance of happening when you melee or perhaps only if you melee somebody from behind or something.
-Medic: I like to play medic because it's not always about getting kills, but supporting the team. Unlike Killzone 2 where you could take out your revive zapper and hit an ally from a short distance, you have to get right up next to your buddy and hit the left on the d-pad. Reviving freezes you in place and you'll end up dying just trying to pick up an ally.
- Infiltrator: It's like the issues above make the infiltrator class extremely overpowered.
- Point scores: It's not a horrible issue, but I'd really like an option to turn off the points popping up on screen. I don't need that popping up or at least not right above my crosshairs.
- Killstreak perks: Does every game need to have special perks now?
- Matchmaking: Again, they took a good thing from Killzone 2 and removed it. We'll see how it goes once the game is out, but I'd much prefer being able to choose games and settings than using only matchmaking.
Also, why must they design their maps by putting the search and destroy objectives so close to the main spawn points?
after a few hours i love it, have a 2,0 ratio :D
