Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Pope talks about violent videogames .... he doesn't like them

The Pope's actually right in what he said.  Objectionable material should not be aimed at children.  This includes The Bible Game.

You guys should lighten up on him though.  He's merely stating his beliefs and didn't say anything out of line.

Sex is not an inherently moral or immoral act, and trying to attach inherent morality to it badly simplifies the sexual act and all of the circumstances surrounding it.

No, I mean that sex should be in a context of normal actions and the rest of life. Difference between Hot Coffee and Mass Effect.

You do realise that the Pope wasn't saying that, right?

I dont care what some old man thinks of my games....

It would be nice if, in the world there were SOME people that would be listened to some of the time on the issues of morals and ethics.

I am not saying the Pope is right here, but at least it benefits society, I believe, if some people can talk into the current condition and call people to be better.

It ould be best if people could better themselves.

OK, on reading the article properly I agree. I interpreted the OP's quote wrong.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

The man who was in the Hitler Youth and holds the same position as the people who sanctioned the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, and the cover-up of child molestation really has no business telling people how to raise kids.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

I apologize for assuming you agreed with the Pope about sex in the media.

What's the big deal? Christian teachers say this all the time and it's perfectly Biblical. It's just that everybody hears this when the Pope says it because he is so famous, but he is directing this message to Christians and followers of the Faith. Nothing to be upset about.
