We all know the reason, why buy it when the successor is just a month away...

3DS will surely dominate the charts until PSP2 is released, then we'll enter again into the battle time...


Well yeah but still :P If DS is this low then Japan is doomed :P

20k is still respectable for a console bound to die.

Good hold for DK, but little more to celebrate.

Used game sales are really big in Japan.Many people buy games when they first come out, then they play through them really fast and sell to them stores the deal in used games. That's why many games have no legs as they are widely available for cheaper at used game stores.

And I thank Japan for that attitude every day! It creates good market saturation, Japanese imports are really damn cheap ;)

Btw no PS3 games in the top 20 yet still it is above the Wii. Although it has to be said that the PS3 lineup for Feb and March is so much better than the Wii, so maybe that is affecting sales

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom didn't chart so it sold less than 6,000 units. How come Game Republic isn't out of business?

So based on VGC for last year Wii is down 66% YoY (~43,000) in Japan this week.  What are the chances Last Story boosts Wii back to last years level (~41,000) next week?



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

No chance IMO.
