On the one hand, the law states people below a certain age are children, and should be tried as such. However, this child showed a level of malevolence and premeditation which clearly surpasses the level of your average child. Overall, I'd say they should be tried as an adult, simply because of how horrific the crime was.
Noone is curious as to what may have pushed the kid to do this?

I feel like there should be a "half-way" option.
It's crazy to me that sometimes it's usually a difference between like 2-7 years and 60 .
I'd sentence him as an adult with the option for parole and reform.
Though, considering the actual facts of the case... reform seems unlikely, since if he's guilty that's just... outright sociopath behavior... and I doubt they've done much to take him off that path since then.

To be honest, looking at the history of murderers, there are many cases where they refuse to change, and that only means more victims being claimed.
I prefer to take no chances.

not knowing all the facts, i say try him and fry him.
He'll probably just get tried as a juve and land up with a suspended sentence and out in a week or some such crap though lol

Heh, this kid is from my home county actually, i've been reading about this in the paper for years
He was 11 at the time the crime was committed. There is no way in heaven or hell that should qualify for getting tried as an adult, or we might as well throw out the juvenile crime system altogether
