Yeah I dunno what people were talking about in terms of Crysis 2 multiplayer was bad... It looks pretty damn good in mine. Prob best looking multiplayer (in terms of fps or tps) on the 360. 

Killzone 2 multiplayer did piss me off in the fact that it lagged... it might just be my ps3 though coz i dont think it likes me -.-

Yeah that is the first thing I thought as well. It was Cod multiplayer. It must be the tried and true now. 

Was pretty fun though there wasnt any ridiculously highly matched opponents.. and somehow me on my adsl 1 connection was host... aussies must have loved it though haha

Hmm what is with all of the comparisons of Crysis 2 on 360 to PS3 games?  I'm sorry, since when did everyone on this site own both systems to be making these "fair and honest" comparisons?  

a few people do you would be quite surprised, but they are being compared because crytek said that the engine was going to be 'The' engine for this generation of consoles, and apparently nothing could match it. I think we are seeing this is not true. 

Crytek themselves said it was going to look better than Killzone 2. They started the comparison.

i dont know if they actually specified killzone, but again the single player should look better imo, would have to look a bit better though.

They've been pretty arrogant when it comes to other shooters, especially Killzone 2. From what I've seen in this thread and from what I've been reading on Gaf, Killzone 2 is still better looking despite being two years old. I honestly think the environments in Halo: Reach even look better than what was shown in the screen shots shown earlier in the thread. 

you gotta love crytek, I think that again the single player will look better but crytek needs to know when to stfu. Halo compared itself to things it could beat, Killzone the same and so on and so on. One shouldnt make such loud noises when there is no backing up for it.

Had an exam today so didn't have time to check the demo out, will do so tomorrow evening (well maybe not, ps meeting is tomorrow) so on Thursday I will give it a go..

The first link wasn't actually anyone at Crytek who made the comparison. It was the sci-fi author they hired to do the single-player storyline. He has nothing to do with computer graphics and little to do with Crysis 2 other than the story. It was his own personal opinion often quoted as "Crytek's arrogance".

The second link and quotes were based on what people had said to him and not his first-hand experience (he even states he is unable to make a proper comparison as he wasn't allowed to see Killzone 3 in 3D).

It seems to me the gaming media are just putting a lot of quotes out of context and giving the impression that Crytek are this arrogant company when they're just trying to sell their engine. Any company can come off as arrogant with this treatment.
