Ok, we know that Nintendo'll be busy with the 3DS for the first half of the month. But what about the Wii? What's going to fill the lineup? I wish they could bring some Jp games (Xenoblade looks great and I'll waited way to much for Fatal Frame) but with Nintendo is hard to guess.

We should all go to Nintendo's headquarters and kill 'em. That's what they get for not releasing a Wii 2.

Seriously?

Ugh...no I refuse to believe it.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Something expected .... like.... nothing

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

this would piss me off. but it would be expected i guess.

did zelda ever have any sort of a release date or even release window?  does it really count as being bumped without one?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed yet again, but this is all speculation based on a GameStop placeholder date.  I mean c'mon.

I've expected it for a while now actually, with Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D probably launching late June or so, I don't see Skyward Sword arriving until September or later. It's all going to depend on what else Nintendo has on offer for 2011, for example we know Nintendo have Pikmin 3, Wii Relax and a new IP from Miyamoto (unless internal plans have changed) and so they could potentially have a heavy back half of the year.

I see it possibly like this:

Q1:

- Kirby's Epic Yarn

- Mario's Sport Mix

Q2:

Absolutely nothing.

Q3:

- Pikmin 3

- Wii Relax

Q4

- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

- New IP

What I'm unsure about though is whether Dragon Quest X is going to come to japan this year.. I can see Pikmin 3 being delayed to 2012 if Dragon Quest X is coming to Japan as it may be too many games in the latter half of the year. It's also possible that Wii Relax has been shelved, in which case Pikmin 3 could be the only game from Nintendo over a 6 month period on Wii.

If Zelda is coming earlier then the release schedule could look like this:

Q3:

- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Q4:

- Pikmin 3/Wii Relax

- New IP

It's also possible Nintendo will cut the price of the Wii during Q2/Q3 if sales momentum drops off too much. I don't see it happening right now, but it's a possibility.

We didn't know about DKCR or Kirby's Epic Yarn until E3.   And the year before that at E3 gave us the surprise of NSMB Wii.

Looking at Nintendo's release line up prior to E3 these days and making judgements isn't exactly the wisest thing in the world to do.

As for LOZ: SS, NCL wanted to release it in the first half of 2011 but no official date was ever given.  So it's not technically delayed even if the Gamestop date is valid.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

C'mon, it's Zelda! What did you expect?
