Forums - Sales - Anyone know a website where I can track Blackberry sales

I'm interested in tracking the sales in African countries, to be more specific.

Blackberry sales tracking in Africa?   The continent with the poorest people and weakest consumer infrastructure?

I wish you all the luck in the world but you should probably ask for snow in the Sahara while you're at it.  Would be a heck of a race to see which one happens first.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

I don't think RIM has much of a market in Africa. It's probably miniscule.

I also don't think anybody would track it. Maybe the RIM fiancial reports for shipped figures?

I think the BB market in Africa is a lot bigger than you might expect.  Same with iPhone.

They sell them all over Egypt, Kenya, and Tanzania for use on Vodaphone, Zain, etc. networks.  Smart phones are really popular in Ethiopia two, particularly iPhones - even though ETC sucks balls and you get no data service.

I happen to have a South African friend, two of his friends came over for Christmas, both called Dillan x), anyhow they both purchased Blackberries.

So that's two people in South Africa with a Blackberry.. But they did not purchase it IN Africa, so we're back to square one.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

I don't think you will get those numbers cause RIM uses

  • Canada
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Other

in their annual reports... they don't divide Other any further..

For the only time in recorded weather history, snow fell in the Sahara desert in southern Algeria on February 18, 1979. The storm lasted only half an hour and the snow was gone within hours.

The stars must've alighned for that one...  It does get frigid in the Sahara - but for it to drop below 32F and have precipitation is super rare.

Why do you want to track Blackberry sales anyway ?
