Try and be open minded for once Gilgamesh and look at the charts, it's pretty clear in the UK at least, PS2 didn't actually have fantastic legs, it dropped off relatively fast compared to WW sales. 360 is already showing stronger legs, at this point in time, PS2 was declining fast.

But in the last 5 years the PS2 sold 2 million in the UK, your expecting the X360 to double those sales in the same 5 years of the X360 life as the PS2s? Sure the X360 has been outperforming the PS2 for the last couple years but I don't see it holding up.

I don't know, this generation is a bit trickier with legs than any other generation. The consoles all have firmware and have new features added to them on a routine basis. I think that fact alone can stretch the legs out a lot longer than we have seen before, for all the consoles. Then you also have kinect and move, which if have long term success, can stretch the legs even further.
In my opinion, it's definitely possible. I can see the 360 outselling the ps2 in UK... if just barely.
