When do the North Americans get together?

Well, SethNintendo and I will be playing next on Tuesday at 6:30pm central. We usually try to play 1-2 week nights at about that time, and Saturday Sunday usually starting sometime between 5pm - 7pm central although we have played at around noon as well. Whatever time works best. Are you interested in joining us? I am HR 43 and Seth is HR 39.

Cool, I'll do my best to be there tomorrow (HR 41).

Since we are already Friends, you can warp to us. If I can, I might be on a little early. Do you have WiiSpeak?

Nope, I ditched that after our last conversation went "What?" "Huh?" "Sorry didn't catch that" "Did you say something?" "Huh?"

Yes, it is far from a perfect system, but Seth and I have managed to make it work so that 75%-80% of what we say is understandable. Much quicker than typing, at least for me. Perhaps voice chat will improve with the Cafe.

It can hardly get worse! But don't worry, I've gotten good at reading my partners' minds.

I really should get a USB keyboard, though...

This sounds most logical.

I used to have Wii Speak, well, I  borrowed it from a friend, and it just...didn't work well, at all. I hated it, so crackly and poor IMO. That and you're speaking to the TV so look ridiculous!

At any rate, using a keyboard is best, but when you're fighting, say, Deviljho or Alatreon you don't have time to type in whilst fighting!

You are correct! My typing is terrible at best, so WiiSpeak it is. We have been able to eliminate the echos and feedback that often makes it hard to tell what is being said. It took a while playing around with the settings, but now it works well enough that it is a real benefit. I remember it worked well with The Conduit when I was playing that, but only with some people. In any case, I am sure Cafe will have it all worked out.

If you have any going spare I could use them to upgrade my Deviljho and Rathalos armour...it's just they're SO HARD TO FIND...

Oh, I'll change the data for you in the OP tonight when I update it, I haven't had a chance as of yet...

@EnThilza- How do you reduce the echo? I was hoping the Headbanger Headset would  work for it, but I didn't wanna risk it. And I'd be surprised if the cafe doesn't fix it!

It seems to be mostly a volume thing. Playing with the volume of the TV set itself (usually turning it down) along with the WiiSpeak in game volume options in MH3. We just got to where we are by trial and error.

When we first started using it, it was terrible. Nothing but distortion, feedback, and echos. I can see why most people just give up on it. Even now, it is far from perfect for us, but VERY usable.

Bad luck day it is, few HVY spheres and no gems, and I really want that Exodus.
