  Im a little confused as to why the PS3 2010 Dec sales are pretty darn close to it's 09's especially since last year PS3 saw a $100 price cut a couple weeks before Dec, and had games like Uncharted 2 prior.  Also looking at the recent US preview article it shows PS3 NPD at 1.36M compared to this years estimation of 1.2M which as of right now is just a estimation of what NPD could look like it could even be lower as what happened in Nov of this year. 

either way its good to see that in PS3s worst area sales wise its hasnt really fallen off from its 09 price cut especially towards the end of this year where the PS3 has run into some trouble with games getting pushed back that were supposed to release during the holidays and GT5 failing to empress the reviewers.  

post why you think PS3 for Dec in americas this year matched last years cause i can't

Wasn't the price cut in August?

Move, GT, retailer deals, Blops.

September... some stores cut the price in the last days of August...

OT: impressive, it makes HD sales even more amazing, seeing that even the last place console can move this ammount. It seems that both the PS3 and 360 are looking to have one amazing year. Cant wait to see how games like Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 perform

I'll trust VGC till I have a serious reason not to, though.

why would it be over this year when theres no other data yet from NPD ect

ps3 at 730k 360 700k

but once npd came out with ther nov data ps3 at 710k and 360 820k vgc adjusdeted all of americas nov data to show 360 on top for the month of Nov 

why hasnt the same thing been done to the PS3 for Dec 09?

No, still overtracked. The PS3 is always overtracked or was that undertracked? Well if it was always undertracked then it is definately overtracked to compensate and if it was always overtracked then the trend has obviously continued.
